Quilt With Us

Much as we all love the internet and being able to interact with people all across the globe, it sure is frustrating when it acts up!  My internet has been down as much if not more than it has been up since Sunday morning.  Someone from AT&T finally showed up yesterday after we waited for 3+ days only to be told that it wasn't their problem and must be our modem.  We are switching carriers on Monday because of the poor service we have received from AT&T so I didn't want to buy a modem that might not work with the new system.  Lo & behold, after using the computer at our local library this morning I came home and my internet was working at home again so I'm very relieved that I didn't end up buying a new modem for no reason!  I'm sure it was all the rain we have had this week that caused this, but I don't know why AT&T couldn't do something to fix the problem.  I'm just hoping the new carrier gives us better internet than we ever got from AT&T U Verse!

Those are such frustrating times and just show us how dependent we've become on the internet, etc.  Glad your system is up and working for now and hope the new carrier will be better for you.

The same thing happened to me. It was not working more than it was working. They told me it was my modem and had to spend $100 for a new one.  I switched carriers.  I had to go cold turkey for 5 days with no internet and boy, was that hard.  Never thought I'd get so dependent on technology.
