Quilt With Us

These are Fun -- and Addictive, Like Peanuts!

Star Wars quilt is off to the long-arm quilter; now I'm back to doing those Itty Bitty Quilts, and am finding they are quite addictive. I can't do just one! October is over, November is up now, and I have finished December.  I have the perfect place in the entry to show off the little (6-1/2") quilts, so I just keep on making them!  They take about 2 hours each, so it's not a big commitment.  No compensation by CT here.

How fun! I love the pumpkin.

Thanks for the invitation to the group, Cindy; I just joined up!  The only major change in the instructions I have made so far is to bind them each individually.  I didn't want to do all the bindings in black!  I will switch out fabrics from time to time too.

Hey gals, come January the group Itty Bitties will be up and running with Mari Martin as our leader. We will be making two blocks a month in a quilt along format. (Like we did in the Littles quilt along this year. ) so check out the group's page and sign up to join in the fun. Mari will be sharing some tips and tricks along the way. We've had a blast in the Littles group and I know the Itty Bitties will be great as well. Some of us are doing the set in Woolsey and flannels and others in cottons.

I love these! I got the hanger last year at the Chicago quilt show! Buttermilk Basin has some really cute mini patterns for the hanger. I am going over to shop on CT.com right now to check this book out!

I love that CT lets us preview the images in their books.  I have been wanting that free-standing hanger for a while.  Dear Santa...

Barb:  Yes.  Available from CT and called, incidentally, "Itty Bitty Quilts."  There is also a free-standing hanger, and a fabric pack (if you don't have scraps!)  I'm working on the January snowman currently.  I cut all the muslin backings, the batting, and made the itty bitty hanging sleeves all at one time.  Now I just make the fun parts -- the tops.  Binding is different for each one.  Making these little things certainly encourages one to make absolutely square corners on the binding!

So very cute!  I always think I am going to do these, but something else pops up.  This picture has me feeling inspired...again!  Are they all from the same book?

I love these Carol.  Projects that you can finish quickly with a minimum of fabrics are wonderful.  I know a lot of people don't consider anything except bed size to be real quilts, but I don't agree with that sentiment at all.  Projects like this are what gives a homey feeling to a space.

So adorable! My friend Rebecca has the perfect place to display seasonal decorations in her entryway. (Mine is always full of shoes and dog toys, with no piece of furniture suitable.) I'm going to have to remember this for "someday."
