So where to begin? I haven't quilted on the LA in quite a while. I think she thinks I've forgotten all about her alone in the sewing/garage. I got sick back in December and I don't think I'm over it yet. My other half was sick, DD has been sick, Aiden was sick. Ok you got the idea, we're all sick.
Aiden turned 2 back in March. He's talking up a storm these days although my baby talk isn't what it use to be. We'll just have to wait another year or so to see what the translation is on his conversations.
Made a trip to the hospital with the other half a while ago. He was really sick. A few weeks later I was in twice. The first time they were too busy in the ER to see me, ok I was tired of sitting there for 4 hours waiting to be scene by a doctor. I went back the next morning and after tests of this that and the other thing, I had inflamed lymph nodes brought on by virus or bacteria the DR couldn't tell but I was to see my doctor if I wasn't better. As you can see I'm still here so I guess I'm better. Sure do wish the sinuses would go away.
My dear mom calls me and tells me she is having chest pains and could I come over. She was going to call my brother next and I said I would be there in a few minutes and not to call brother but 911 first. They were there before I was so I guess she listened to me. She has a huge white german shepard. I wonder which one of the guys was brave enough to go into the house and get the dog out. mom doesn't remember. She thinks I took the dog out. Any way, no heart attack which was good and they sent her home from the hospital a few hours later.
That adventure was followed by a backed up toilet. The other half plunged the line and replaced the toilet. It wasn't the toilets fault but he felt the need to get himself a new throne. Who am I to complain? This was followed by water in the hallway. Unfortunately we blamed the dog. The big dog, Zeus. He was having problems and we both figured it was cancer. Then he got a lot worse off and our agreed upon day to take him to the vets was moved up. Zeus was put to sleep and we both sat in the car and cried. Turns out it wasn't Zeus but the hot water tank.
My department boss has left for greener pastures. Happy dance! He was a nice guy just not very good at managing the department. I've been training up the new guy. We'll see how he does. Why didn't I take the job you ask? Don't want it! The manager is the one who gets stuck working when no one else wants to come in or you call in sick. Been there and Done that, or I'm too old and broken to want to work longer hours than what I'm scheduled for. Shhhh don't tell anyone I wrote the schedule.
My desk top computer decided it wanted a break and quit working, I think its been talking to my register at work. Neither one of them have been working very well. My other half was kind enough to replace it for me and I've spent days finding my favorite web sites and putting them back in the computer.
My other half quit his day job and returned to a place that he was working at before. Long story on why he quit the original job in the first place but he's back at what he likes doing, he's just doing it on the night shift for the time being. That leaves me with a lot of quiet time at the house. Smiling here. His mistake was leaving me with his bank card.
I hate having to sit in a bedroom to do my sewing. I feel like I've been cut off from the rest of the house. I found a sewing table on Amazon and ordered it earlier. Early B-day present from him. I just haven't told him he was paying for it yet. I have plenty of time at night to sit in the living room and start sewing and fold the table up when I'm done and he'll just think its a table to put a light on. I'll let you know if he really believes that one.
Oh and DD is pregnant again. She never listens to me. After all the problems she had with Aiden, I said not to do this again she didn't do it right the first time. Well this one is due in early October or late September. She says its a boy and his name: Lucas. I was so hoping it would be a girl. They are so much more fun to shop for. At least so far she hasn't had any of the problems she had with Aiden. Say a prayer for my sanity and her well being, we're both going to need it.
So I haven't dropped off the face of the Earth yet and hopefully I will get my act together and get some projects done. Aiden has a toddler bed that needs a quilt and the new baby will need his own little quilt.
