Quilt With Us

I haven't had any jobs for a couple of months then all of a sudden I got several.  I got two quilts to quilt and a couple of embroidery jobs.  First the week started off with having to take my daughter to the hospital.  She checked herself in which was a good thing because mentally she was really bad.  Her meds were off and it really took it toll.  Now they have changed them and she seems to be doing better.  I get the first quilt on the frame and the batting is too narrow and I have to call the client and get permission to go buy more batting.  Then I looked really looked at the quilt and she had sewn the seems less than an 1/8 of an inch.  The seams were not matched and I had to sew a few seams back together.  I also noticed that she had hand sewn a few seams back together.  I get everything ready and start quilting and the machine shoots crap.  The repair man comes out yesterday as says everything seems fine and did a few adjustments, seems to run fine and then don't even get one row done and it shoots crap again.  Called Mo Sewing machne and they don't know when he will be able to get back out.  Called client and let her know.  I guess now I can enjoy the weekend which is my anniversary and hope he comes out next week.

It seems I take two steps forward and three steps backwards.  The weight loss is stable right now.  I have lost nearly 30 lbs.  As long as I don't gain anything I am happy.  I hope the weight starts coming off again soon.

I hope each of you have a happy a safe 4th of July.

Until next time blessings.

I hope you have a great weekend!  Our hot water heater went out this week, one complete day without running water at all in the house and 2 1/2 days without hot water.  So happy to have a water heater than works again.

Wow, Vicky, what a frustrating week you have had!  I'm not sure I would have the patience to try to quilt a quilt top that has been so poorly constructed!  Happy anniversary a bit early.  I hope your daughter gets better soon.

Jeesh Vicky, when it rains it pours, huh?  I hope your daughter will stabilize and be okay.  And what is it about machines and men?  You hear or see your car (sewing machine) doing terrible things, and when a repair man drives it it doesn't do it???  Happens all the time.  I hope that was your client's first quilt and that she learned from it!  Good luck with your machine, and Happy Anniversary!

Maybe this is fate's way of telling you to enjoy husband's company on  your anniversary. New saying from a friend who beat hodgekins disease ..

" don't just count the days...make each day count."

Some weeks are just like that.  My dishwasher and microwave both bit the dust in the past 2 wks, along with the starter on my husband's pickup.  When it rains, it pours.  Hope you get your machine up and running soon.

I hope things start getting better for you.  I would hate to see you go through another week like this. I hope your daughter is feeling much better.

Vicky so sorry to hear you're week hasn't been the greatest. Know very well about taking two steps forward and three steps backwards. I picked up a UFO that I need to finish for my daughter and every time I sewed a patch together I had to rip it out. Finally, just gave up for today and see how things go tomorrow. Keep you're chin up! Things will get better. Happy Anniversary and enjoy your weekend! Hugs!
