Quilt With Us

This morning the BF finally got to go back to work.  Don't get me wrong, it was nice to have him home for the holidays but that came with a price on it. To the tune of several thousand dollars in truck repairs.  Altough we aren't paying the repair bills, it's still a chunk of change that I wouldn't  want to come up with.  All that means is that now I have time to get back to working on my quilts. It was difficult not to spend all my time working on finishing up these quilts and working on ideas for my website but I survived the two weeks with him and now with vacation time coming up next week, we'll see how much I can get done.

The other thing, I am falling short on pattern testers.   People that I know in my area and I  have given a pattern to, have failed to even look at the project.  Don't get me wrong, it has been the holidays and so forth but it's been five months and still no word on the first quilt project. So, and I know this is a loaded offer here... if you have time and are interested in testing out one of my quilt blocks please send me an email or drop a line here.  I am interested in having someone who is fairly new to quilting, someone who has intermediate skills and someone who could handle just about anything you throw at them. Sorry but you don't get paid for this. What you do get is a quilt pattern with instructions ( I don't expect you to make the whole quilt just a block), a list of questions to answer and send back to me and my graditude. If you feel that getting into this and responding within 30 days won't fit your schedule please hold off on offering until I have other projects that I would like someone to try out.

Kathy, I would love to help you out with that.  I'm in MN, but I promise that I will make good on my offer  in a timely manner.  Let me know. I've been sewing all my life and quilting for some 25 yrs of that, so I think I can handle it.

This sounds like a good challenge, I'd love to be one of your testers. I am sure I can manage a 30-day turnaround (working from home is surely a blessing).

thanks - Aida

Kathy, I wish I could help.  I am so busy with so many projects and samples for work I just don't have the time.  If things clear up on my calendar I will be sure to keep you in mind because...I would love to be a pattern tester!  Hope all goes well!

I would love to help you!  I have only been quilting six years or so, but I should be able to do beginning and intermediate, but wouldn't mind the challenge of the advanced either.
