It is almost Easter! Where has the time gone??? I guess if you are busy, that is what happens. I have been making lots of totes out of the feed bags and have given them to family and friends, and still selling them on the ETSY store. Though I don't really want to be working full time at that!
The other thing that I managed to accomplish was to finish the saw painting for our 4-H club raffle! Since I don't paint on a regular basis, it took me a little bit of messing around to get the feel of the paints and brushes, but I am pleased with the outcome. Hope we sell lots of tickets! The scene is of the Rogue Valley with Table Rock on one side and a nice bull elk on the other with the Rogue River running down the middle. Have gotten lots of wonderful feedback.
Today I was able to purchase the final piece of fabric for my next quilt that must be done before graduation! No worries, it is a simple block and I have done it before. The quilt I did for Vanessa is the pattern I will be using, but with vastly different colors. And to make it even easier, this time I am going to use iron on applique method to get the photos on the quilt instead of sewing borders around them. I think It will go much smoother that way. I will be able to get the cutting done and then start piecing right away. The photos will come next.
When I am working at these things, I sort of get into a zone and that is what makes it seem like the time is zipping by! I become unaware of the clock ticking! Does that happen to you? And it is Spring and time to start thinking about the garden! My daffodils are decorating the yard nicely and there are buds on the lilac bushes already. Tulips are right behind!
