We are now in Bakersfield, CA. We just left Las Vegas after spending several days there. Did a lotof exploring and found the quilt shops for me and the shops that my DH wanted to go to. We ate a few lunches and dinners out. For my birthday, we went to Sam's Town where they had steak and lobster as a special. That lobster is a favorite. Before LV, we were in Bullhead City and spent time with my 88 yr old aunt. She and DH are getting ready to head back to ID for the summer. They still pull their 30' 5th wheel between the 2 places. We went to Laughlin, NV and went to several casinos. Had some good lunch and dinner specials there too. We've been eating out to much, but have enjoyed it. I've gotten more fat quarters and material at shops, but still haven't had my machine out. We've just been to busy running around. The weather has been super. This morning is the 1st cloudy morning we've had since Phoenix, but it made a good day for driving. We stopped at Murray Family Farm owned place about 20 miles our of Bakersfield. They grow most of their own fruit and have wonderful pies and other goodies. We bought some tangerines and oranges, fudge, peanut brittle, and Mesquite BBQ flavor roasted corn nuts. Talk about good. So, this is a little of what our last few weeks have been like. Pam, your mouse story is a great tale to pass on down to future genertions. More later.
