Quilt With Us

It has been a busy, busy fall so far. And yes, in Manitoba, I can still say fall and not winter. We had +14 today. A perfect day for washing windows and playing outside with my grandboys. And no, My daughter has not had her baby yet, but any day, any hour, any minute, it could happen.
I have been battling a slow moving cold. And just when I thought it was all done with, I think I got a touch of the flu. H1N1? I don't think so, but who knows. It was fairly mild. Just enough to make you feel very sluggish and a bit feverish. And I have been trying to get projects caught up on. First I had to reorganize my sewing room and clean it up. And when you start on one room, somehow it always manages to spill over into others. But that is basically done now, and I am very pleased with the result. So, my sewing machine has actually been getting a bit of excercise, thank goodness.
Tomorrow, after being stuck at home for what seems like three weeks, I finally get to go to the city and do a bit of fabric shopping tomorrow. I can hardly wait.
So, nothing momentous happening............just life happening.... and I am thankful that it is "just life".

Phyllis, I understand how you feel. I've had a couple of weeks like yours where I haven't felt good, sinus infection, aches and such. But did feel well enough to stay in my jammies and get things done that I had not gotten done. I am on the board for Home Bound Meals here in town and after the Pancake Breakfast last weekend brought all the paperwork home I needed to write thank you letters to all the businesses that donated for our silent auction. I had so much on my plate to do last weekend but because of being sick I didn't go. So what did I do? I got all the letters written and mailed out by Thursday. That is a record for me. I was able to get it all out of the way quickly. It does feel good. Life happening is a good thing. Have fun shopping!!

Phyllis, hope not the H1N1 especially if you are going out. They have closed the Thunder Bay hospital to visitors so I asked them yesterday if that meant spouses too as DH is going in for surgery next Fri. I was told no as I was a caregiver.
