On my way to work this morning two raccoons cross the road infront of me. Not a big deal, a little unusual so far into town (Tacoma Wa). Not even a quarter of a mile further, white cat crosses the road, at 4:30 in the morning. At about the same time tiny snowflakes start coming down. Not totally unexpected but I thought I had made it without getting caught in the snow. When this happens turn around and go home!!!!! I made it to work, not a great day but I survived as I watched the snow fall and then stop. Once again, home free, no snow on the way home, no raccoon or white cats. I was nearly in the drive way when brother calls, moms not feeling well. U turn and head to moms. By the time I get there, he tells me that she has taken a Nitro pill and having chest pains. He has already called Paramedics. They come, hook her up and tell her she is going to the hospital. I needed to get out of my work clothes before going to the hospital so I called my sister and let her know and asked that she go to the hospital and I would be along shortly. Sister called and said mom had had a heart attack and was going in for surgery. They put a stint in and she is doing fine. Mom was soundly snoring away when we got to go in and see her. So when two raccoons and a white cat cross your path on your way to work, go home. Oh and for the first time in 10 years I will be off on Thanksgiving, special request that I figured the store owed me after the year I've had. The BF is stuck in Wyoming and will have snow all the way westward, and may not make it by thursday, mom may not be home this week......I am not taking any more holidays off PERIOD..
