Quilt With Us

Hi everyone!

I can't remember if I did an update from the Aug. 11 post or not, so bear with me if I repeat stuff.

What we thought was rapid onset dementia (DH) is actually Glioblastoma brain tumors (the same as what Sen. McCain had). DH had surgery Aug. 16. We are home now (he was in the hospital for 12 days) and getting ready to start outpatient PT as well and chemo and radiation. The outpouring of love and support and help is so amazing. God's goodness has no end.

Tomorrow DH will be 70. Saturday is a big party for him that I've been planning since god put it on my heart many months ago. All of our kids, and Bailey, will be here along with about 60 others. What a day it will be.

We are enjoying the blessing and gift of each day God is giving us.

Thank you all for your support - it means a lot.

Blessings & Happy quilting,

Glad the surgery is over.  It will be so good for both of you to see Miss Bailey.  I hope Saturday is special for both of you and you continue to celebrate many wonderful days with family and friends.

This party is a great way to celebrate family and friendship. I wish for all to have a wonderful day. Post pictures later. Thinking of you and the birthday boy...

Miss Bailey is 8 and just started 3rd grade. Can't wait to see her, it's been over a year since I last got to be with her.

Thank you all for the prayers. God is good.

So glad the surgery went well and he's home. Having everyone there will, especially Miss Bailey, will be the best medicine he can have. How old is she now? Have the best of the best party ever to make more memories for everyone. Take care of yourself and know that my prayers are with you both. Hugs to you both.

You both should have the best time possible at DH's birthday party!  Enjoy every moment so that you can bring up the memories when you need them BJ!  Stay strong!

I'm happy to hear he is doing as well as he is.  It is fantastic that you are able to continue with your plans for his birthday party.

Savor every moment of the party/reunion/loving hearts and family. You can pull those wonderful  memories out on the not great days.

BJ, glad the surgery is behind him.  Wish him a happy birthday for us!  Glad so many can attend.  Good memories will be made, I'm sure.  May the good days outweigh the rough ones.
