Vist your LQS Day!
I don't know who came up with this one, but I'm all for it! Next they should consider giving us a new Holiday...right after Martin Luther King Day...we can call it "Cotton Day-the Fabric of our lives". Really, any excuse (if you still need one) is a good one to go play/feel/touch fabric and check out whats new at our local quilt shops. Enjoy your day however you spend it!

I'm glad you guys enjoyed your day yesterday....a class, fabrics...discounts! Woohoo! I got a chance to go after work too and managed to find 3yards of batiks...drool. LOL. My sons girlfriend asked me for a pillowcase and that's my quickie project for the weekend....along with tackling all those UFO's! Hmmmmm wonder how many UFOs we have on average???

Yes, I went to my LQS this afternoon. The owner forgot to advertise it on FB, but I knew about it right along. I was the only customer so we spent some time chatting, then she helped me pick out the fabrics for a swap project in one of the groups I belong to here in QWU. I checked out my receipt when I got home and I think she gave me a huge discount! The fabrics I grabbed were more than $12.00 a yard, but the receipt showed much much less. Wow!

Oh, I did, I did! Took a polymer clay button class there this morning AND purchased 3 pieces of yardage! It's also a yarn shop, but only drooled on that side of the store. LOL
