Quilt With Us

what furloughed workers have time to do.

It's time to clean up a few of the UFOs. Some are stuck on the shelf for a reason.

I copied the spider web pattern  a few years ago, and obviously, my printer didn't get the angles quite right, so I had to adjust a bit and not all the corners are perfect.   When I was ready  to attach the centers they became spiders with  padding and legs of  wool yarn, rick rack, shoe laces, bias tape and ribbon .

It will probably go to the Ronald McDonald House hoping they have a child staying there who is into spiders.

Only 3 shelves left of started projects.....   I hope we're not off that long.

Great quilt and great idea to sew, sew, sew, while you are off.  Whole government business makes me want to scold them all.  We were leaving on a Wash. DC vacation tomorrow morning.  But since probably 99% of what we want to see is closed, we had to cancel.  I hope this shutdown does not last long for your sake as well as the whole country!!!

Too bad the eggs are virtual food. I would have eaten them all! (I know an old lady who swallowed a fly...)

I took a second look and realized those spiders on the eggs are olives! Very clever.

Love the quilt AND the eggs. Cute!

Cute!  The Ronald McDonald house is a wonderful idea.  The book would be the perfect addition.  That darn, Peggy!  She's got us all wanting to go make those adorable deviled eggs!  Yum!

Cute eggs!  I bet those legs were almost as much bother as my fat fingers braiding the yarn legs.  Unfortunately, those eggs would probably never make it out of the house as certain people I have made deviled eggs for can smell out me making them from hundreds of miles away.  At least that means easy thinking for birthday presents.

I think a trip to the book store is in order- thanks for the advice.    I need to clean my camera lens too.

Cute quilt. I am sure it will find its rightful owner who will love it to death.

I agree with the book, but also maybe a plate of these to go along with the theme:

I think this is a cute quilt and some kid is going to love it...maybe include a cute book about spiders. I sure hope the gov't isn't down that long either!!!
