Quilt With Us

Since I don't see my daughter all that often, I committed to finishing her (king sized) tshirt quilt AND this queen size grad quilt for my niece and have them to her last Saturday.  So that meant I needed to make the king quilt start to finish and quilt and bind the pink/red quilt shown here.  Tall order, but I got it done!  Whew!  Feels good to give these quilts AND feels good to check off two more UFOs.

This quilt has given me more experience - the 10 minute block - Kaffe Fasset fabric (a departure from my norm) - wave border - and free motion quilting a queen-size quilt.  Nothing like a deadline to make me push through insecurity about new methods!!!

Not familiar with " 10 minute block" ...where can I learn more about it?

Deadlines usually create a problem for me & more often than not my machine decides it is time to get some repair work attention. That is where I am presently sooooo, my serger is getting a work out this week'''yea!!

I love it!! You did a fabulous job!  I have been introduced to the 10 min block but have not actually made a quilt using it.  I love the variation of colors and fabric designs. And you got it done so quickly...Way to go!!!

Absolutely love that pink/red quilt!  Not my colors but could live with it very easily.  Great job.

Very pretty quilt.  I seem to get more done under pressure too.  I love the 10 min block.  Makes quilts come together much faster.  Did you use the Scallops, Vines & Waves template from Quilt in a day to make your scalloped border?  I have that template but haven't used it yet.

Sometimes pressing deadlines can inspire you to do your best work!  It is apparent that is what happened here.  Congratulations!

What a gorgeous quilt! (I'm not generally a pink fan but this is exceptional)
