Quilt With Us

Yesterday our daughter saw a rheumatologist and got the diagnosis I was sure she would get - she has fibromyalgia. Having it myself her symptoms sounded too much like it. She is very proactive, so I know she will do what she can to feel as good as she can with this condition/disease. But... it is still tough when you find out. Hopefully she can get the pain level down so she can manage her full time job.

Also yesterday our niece went to the ER and expected a diagnosis of pneumonia. It wasn't. It is looking like a viral infection in her lungs and there are some other things going on as well. They are doing lots of tests on her, have her on oxygen and a repiratory treatment to clean out the gunk in her lungs, etc. She teaches 5th grade and has a 3 year old at home.

With all that I have managed to finish two big projects! One is the Grand Canyon piece for our nephew's wedding. We found a great frame for it yesterday and I will post a picture once it is framed. It is a quilted piece. Then today I finished the block for the Love of Art Quilt groups current exchange - the theme is "Do Do Do Looking Out My Back Door". Can't show that one yet as it isn't due until June 15 and we don't want any peeking. LOL

It feels so good to have those projects done. Now I am going to start the crawling mat for Bailey. That should be another fun project.

Hope you are all having a great weekend. Even though we have a lot going on, we feel so blessed.

I'm sorry about your daughter's diagnoses, and your niece's illness. They are lucky, at least, to have someone like you on their team, you have such a good attitude. Enough already with the rain!!!

BJ, sorry to hear about your daughter and your niece. That Fibromyalgia is nasty. I have a few friends here with it and it is not nice as you know yourself. Will be praying for both of them and you as well. Looking forward to seeing the Grand Canyon framed piece and your block when you can show us. Hope you have a good weekend too. Hugs to you.
