Quilt With Us

Well I haven't been anywhere really.  I know it's been forever sense I posted on here.

I have been working the day job.  I come home and rest the legs and feet mostly.  Too tired lately to do much of anything.

I did start a new quilt but I needed to work more hours and lost interest in working on the quilt.  I did start a purse pattern mostly because I hate the one I have. I can't find a darn thing in it when I need to. That being mostly the keys to car and house.  That fell by the way side as well as mom wants more time out of the house, at least I think thats what it is.  DD is calling more to shop and have me watch the Aiden when hes sick.  They also moved to a new house a short time ago so I've been helping set up house.

You know it sounds like I've lost my mojo for getting things done.  This is my second vacation for the year and I still haven't gotten much done.  I do get a lot of running around done for everyone else.  This of course has lead to me getting an excellent tan on the left arm. I guess you could say that I got something done.

I changed my profile picture.  This is me and Aiden at the water park.  He was suppose to be playing in the water sprinklers.  Eating pb and j and getting it on g-ma was more fun.

So having gotten my whinning out, I did pick out some quilting on a pattern I thought I liked on my quilt and finally started working on getting that finished but with the heat we have in the NW and the LA being in the garage with no opening windows, kind of makes it hard to want to work on the quilt.

I just bought a purse and have the same complaint.  Aiden is a handsome boy and looks like he is enjoying his PB&J. I like your new profile picture.

Cute picture! it's so hard to find a good purse isn't it?!?!! I found a pattern for an insert that goes in your purse made with stiff fusible. As many pockets as you wish and since the fusible is so stiff it keeps your purse from falling over and makes it MUCH easier to find all the things that seem to get lost. Also for your keys sew in your side seam a long skinny piece of fabric with a heavy duty clasp attached to the end for easy access to your keys! I hope you get to relax and enjoy your weekend!

Enjoy your grandson. He will grow so fast you have to cherish these days!

You're normal. Playing with grandson trumps fabric. Heat is the great destroyer of energy. (I'm proof)

When it gets cool and damp again and Aiden is not encouraging you to play in the water and eat PB and J, I'll bet you'll be quilting again.

Time with grandkids trumps almost anything else!  Most important right now is that you take time to just enjoy everyday of your much needed vacation.  Love the new profile picture!

Cute picture...always time for kids...the quilting comes second! I never get much done in the summer. Good break...makes me ready to do something when school starts.

Did not sound like whining to me. Some days are quilt days and some are not. And since you and aiden are both smiling, I would say that the non quilting days are pretty fun!!! There is always another day for sewing.....
