Thanks Aida, I totally agree that when you get to doing your quilting you can forget about how bad you might feel and it definitely lifts the spirits.
I have a feeling, most quilters would testify to the therapeutic value of quilting, not to mention the challenges that help to keep our minds sharp. Nice to see evidence of what we always knew to be true.
I don't know that there is a way to measure it--but--I can testify that when I'm having a really bad day, just holding my WIP is soothing and helps me relax.
Thanks for reposting the link, Aida. Just confirms what we already know -- quilting is a wonderful thing, both mentally and emotionally!

I believe that everyone needs a hobby. I'm glad mine is quilting and sewing in general. It's hard to be depressed when your hands and mind is busy with something you love to do. I have friends who do nothing but dwell on their ailments. I love them but stay as far away from them as I can.
My search engine says "bad request" when I click on the link you provided. Well, we all know quilting is good for us anyway!
The link didn't work for me, Aida. I'd like to read it though.
