It's been quite some time since I've been here. I switched back to my old ISP and up popped CT blog posts! I can't believe I actually got my original e-mail address back. I've been sew2pcs for more than 20 years and thought it would be a miracle if I could get it again. Looks like folks have been busy being creative! I've been in a lull for the better part of 6 months and haven't done much. But, I am beginning a new quilt, my own design, to give as a gift to my favorite doctor who is retiring. I've been blessed to have his care and guidance for 25 years. I am sad but am happy for him and his wife.
My design is an 17" X 36" oval Mariner's Compass rose in the center with lots of open background, then 2 rows of 2" flying geese, but only on the upper left and lower right. It will finish about 63 X 85. I'm using batiks across the spectrum of grass greens. Today, my project is to pull out the copies of the pattern I know I scanned years ago when I first made this compass rose. Get them on the scanner and print them out on foundation paper. If I get that far I have dig into all my odd storage spots to find the box of purple batiks I KNOW I have and want to use. LOL
Peace, good health, and happy stitches to everyone. :-)
