Quilt With Us

We are happy homeowners again!  We closed on the house that we moved in to a year go May 25th on a lease/purchase.  I don't think I have ever been so excited to get this far in debt in my entire life & this is my 8th or 9th house!  LOL   Things have been pretty rough for the past few yrs due to the economy and my dh's health, but we are finally back on our feet again which feels wonderful.  We are heading to Las Vegas in a few days to visit our sons & their families (haven't seen them in over a yr) and then when we get back we are going to start doing some fairly minor remodeling to the house.

Congratulations Janet.  Hope your hands are not too tired from all the signing a closing often entails.

I am so HAPPY for you!  You have to feel so great.  We hope to be able to buy again, now that we have our debt cared for too (mostly from my medical bills and 2 long layoffs for DH), but I think it will most likely have to be a manufactured or mobile home -- which will be fine with me. It feels so good to have the debt cared for, doesn't it?

Congratulations! It surely is a great feeling to own a home.  We also bought our current home through a lease/purchase agreement. After 2 years lease, the owner simply asked us if we'd like to just assume the mortgage as he no longer had any interest in it, so we did.  This is our second home and we've been here for 18 years now.

Congratulation,  at least you can be enjoying the house as you pay off the dept.  This is my first house and more then likely my last. I have lived here 47 years and will be either setting up a mobile home or going to the senior village when I sell it.  The way houses are selling around here my next home could be the old folks home. lol
