Quilt With Us

I've done some embarrassing things in my life, the worst was needing a bathroom in Walmart so in I went. I thought to my self....sooo, only one cubicle, thats how they keep their costs down!!! In my desperate situation I paid no heed to that row of things along the wall and quickly went about my business, thinking all along that some woman has a very deep voice for a lady!!! Upon leaving the cubicle I was faced with that row of things along the wall (urinals of course) and a Father and son using them LOL I don't know who felt worse but I made a hasty exit with my hands over my face and muttering something about OMG I'm in the wrong bathroom!!! The worst of it was that we proceeded on to our local grocery store and I lined up at the cash, the man in front of me turned and gave me a big smile....it was the father from the bathroom. This week I attended the viewing of my BIL,s father, who had passed away last week. We all hate these situations but off I went , it was held in the church, so I parked and went in to pay my respects. I left and returned to the parking lot. I saw that I had left my driver window down and thought , I must have been preoccupied, I never leave my car unlocked. Into the car I get, key in ignition...nothing...five minutes...nothing...ok, I'll go back in and get a nephew to come and help me. Exit the car...look down the row...oh theres my car, four spots over!!!!! Grand theft auto..in a church , yup that's me LOL

I have a fear of getting the wrong rest room. In the mall you go right or left at the end of a hallway, and I really have to check twice. And the car thing, that's funny and all too familiar!

I am so glad you all shared your stories too. It's great to know I'm not alone!!!!May be it is stress...the world is in such a hurry to get things done that we've all forgoton how to slow down and take our time. I think more quilting therapy is in order...I'm going to start right now LOL

Well, the stories are funny, but are you under stress? Maybe you need to go to your room and quilt. LOL

Linda, your story was very entertaining to read but I am sure we all could tell some embarressing stories. I haven't gone into the wrong bathroom but I have had to look for my car in the parking lot.

Lynda, I sure in our porfolio of memories we all have similar stories. Over the years I have lost my car in many a car lot or tried to get into the wrong vehicle. Thank God they invented the car fob with a car finder. The last time I lost my car it was at the airport. I was in a rush and forgot to note which level I was on. I was in a panic until a gentleman asked if I had a fob (which I had forgotten about). After that it was simply a matter of going level to level and listening for the alarm. Yes I have many brain bubbles on a regular bases!

I forget sometimes where I parked, period. I have to go around honking with the lock button until I hear it. My DH turned that feature off on our tahoe so can't get away with looking like I know where I am going and it is a generic color. Every other vehicle down here seems to be a silver tahoe.

The bathroom thing....hasn't everyone done that??????

Lynda, mine was a reverse situation--he came into the ladies room in WalMart but I think he was too drunk to know what he had done. I knew what he had done and could not get out of there fast enough.

Oh Lynda, too funny now but I can just imagine how embarrassing that was. The car thing well it is easily done, I guess the washroom thing too but it is just a little more embarrassing. We can all laugh now but cannot imagine how embarrassed you would be coming out by father and son and then to meet him again in the grocery store. I am not sure I would ever be able to pick him out again. Thanks for the chuckle at your expense.

This surely brought on a good chuckle. My friends and I did the 'men' restroom one time, one of the women was very, very pregnant and really had to go, so we stood in front of the men's room and kept guard so she could go in. Luckily no guy went in all the time she was inside.
