Love the photos very much.. So looking forward to getting a few flowers in the ground.

How random occurences in my life leads me places. Yester as waiting for bus front my house met my backlane neighbor silly as it is we hardly see each other all winter. Yester was so special I lost track of my agenda and ended up escorting her via transit all way to her work.. Backtrack and ended up in a totally different agenda.. Walked into a temporary employment agency knowing very well the same old story of no work avail.. Turned out I was called back for an interview and looks promising.. So God has plans for me, and have learnt to trust his destiny..  But so so grateful of my knowing so many quilting friends.

The quilt show will be over today, and my house will need some cleaning

and more laundry, start cooking meals ahead of time and back to the

regular quiet grind of staying home, and maybe starting plants indoor

ready for May/June planting.. Doesn't fell like spring yet but all is to change they say next week.

I grew up in Hay River.  I visited Inuvik with our high school debate team in 1980 or 81.  We also flew into Aklavik, yikes.

Sorry Phyllis just saw your comment on my page, haven't checked it for a while.
You were asking if it was difificult, the more you do the better you get.
You should take a look at the Thread Painting group on here and it will inspire you to try. There are several gals on there that are really good. The gal that hosts it BB Barbara Blackwell does beautiful work. Take. Look.

Hi Phyllis

I'm a new member and mainly "lurking" right now.

I would like your permission to pass on a few of you pictures / jokes to a friend whose birthday is tomorrow.  We went to university together and solved many "Xs" there and in our careers since then ...

Thanks, Barb in BC

Hi Phyllis, Yes, a lot of my stuff is hand applique. It's slow but I find it so relaxing and have decided that I want to enjoy the process not rush. I do also do larger machine sewn quilts but they are usually for charity since my family have all said they don't want more. I guess I am very fortunate that one of my friends/mentors is AnnetteJ and she is the most stunning hand appliquer - her quilts are works of art. And Diane Gunter creates the most wonderful machine quilts so I don't have far to go to be inspired. Just do what you like to do and enjoy it :-)

Hello Phyllis...Thank you for your kind words on my table runner. The recipient likes black and I thought it would be neat to shade it outward. I have only done one tessellation quilt but like you I want to make another. My avatar is my tessellation quilt. I had some 6 inch squares in several colorways but all the same prints. I wanted something that would use most of the square and that is what I settled on.  Bonnie
