Cathy if you can make these beautiful quilts, the pre-cut Kaleidoscope will be a piece of cake! Your quilts are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing these beautiful works of art. I especially like the celtic knots.

Cathy, thank you for the compliment on the quilt I designed for my quilt group. You say you are a "budding quilter" but from the looks of some of your quilts, I think you are definitely blooming. I also see you have a made a number of Fat Cat quilts. I love Cindy's designs and one of these days I want to make one of her applique quilts.

Hi Cathy, The q uilt you were asking about is just pieced but I think the corners might be a lot better paper pieced. I have to admit i don't know how to paper piece. I guess that should be next on my list to learn but I don't seem to have much incentive to learn how to do it. Hope all is well, Ada

You have some beautiful quilts--congratulations!! Needle turn applique is a bit slow at first, just takes practice--like most other things!! Hang in there, girl!!

Hi again, The quilt you were asking about is a Pam Bono that I have forgotten the pattern name. I still have the pattern and if you are interested let me know and I will dig it out. It is made of flannel which is great but it is really heavy. I sent it out to a LA because the seams are so thick I couldn't get a needle thru it. Have a good week. Ada

Hi Cathy, The truth is we all only see pictures but I am sure you have heard the saying 'Only God makes the perfect quilt'. I thought I was the only one that still has missed seams. When I first started stippling I had no real problem but one day realized my stitches were very irregular. It has taken me a while but I think I have it under control again. The stitch in the ditch is my real big problem. I guess I try to go too fast. I finished the first project in Fast and Furious yesterday. It was fun and not too bad looking. The place mats and runners are great and easy to make. I don't like putting a long time in a place mat - would rather do 'a real' quilt. Have a great week. Ada

Hi Cathy, What a suprise I got when I saw your collection of beautiful quilts. When I read you profile and it said you were a budding quilter of 4 years. You have made more quilts than I have even dreamt of doing. I did buy a couple of new patterns and hope to do the Southern Stars soon. Your quilts are absolutely beautiful and I am suprised you havven't entered some in quilt shows. Could you send me the name of the one on your blog because I think that is a good male or female quilt. Thanks a lot and I going to try to do the feathers soon.
Ada.

Hi Cathy,
Happy to be your friend! I don't think you can call yourself a budding quilter. Wow....you've made a lot of quilts. They are so impressive - pattern, color and number!I just spent 20 minutes drooling. I see you like paper piecing - I've just started it (last year) and am wanting to do a scrappy PP pattern. That way I don't have to worry about the grainline of my scraps. Have you seen this site http://quiltville.com/index.html ? She has a lot of free patterns.

Thanks for your comments on my quilts. I did machine quilt the pumpkin and stippling. I traced a pumpkin pattern onto Golden Threads paper and stitched through it. I took a free motion machine quilting class and it really helped me to gain confidence.
I have a mini storm at sea with the blocks made, but not put together. One day.... another UFO to finish.
Enough chat - nice to meet you and happy sewing. Dianne

Hey Cathy, I think I will keep the greats and let you keep the dog for now. I am not necessarily a pet person. I have had pets and I would never be mean to any animal but I just do better at this time without pets. I can send my greats home when they get on my nerves but who do you send a pet to when it is being bad. I really do not like outdoor cats as they climb on my truck and leave their paw prints on it.
Oh, I guess I will keep my H.DH as I am sure that most people would not want him.................
