Donna, I just cook it down, let it cool then put it through the blender (or food processor) and put it into freezer bags. I do not add anything to it. Just plain old pumpkin. I had never heard of adding sugar to it. Never have had a problem and been doing it this way forever. Makes the best pumpkin pies. My family won't eat any made with store bought canned pumpkin.

Donna , I think you were getting paper pieced blocks of flowers from the garden in the first SS swap--have you heard where to find the patterns for that as I think that is something I would like to try
Hi Donna, Glad to have you as a friend. What are you working on. I'm just trying my hand at English paper piecing and putting some of my blocks together. You know, a little bit of this and a littble bit of that. Just made a dent in my sewing room. at least I can see the floor and my table. YAAA progress.
Hi Donna, Glad you're feeling better. You sure keep adding beautiful projects. You must sew 24-7!!! I'm teaching at an alteration shop that will soon move to about 1 mile from our home! Yea!!! I've been embroidering-especially for Christmas and other gifts. It's finally snowing--this has been a very mild winter. Well, talk to you soon. Write when you get a chance. Smiles, Nancy
Hi Donna, Hope you're feeling better. I missed hearing from you. I don't get on every day, but I like to catch up on what's going on with the Newbies! I sure was glad to hear from you today! Hope you have a great day and talk to you soon. Your projects keep getting prettier and prettier! Nice work! I haven't posted and pics yet--I need more finished projects. Smiles, NC
Thank you Donna. I signed up for their newsletter. The purse pattern is really nice. I'd like to buy some of their webbing, but it will be a lot more expensive than cloth tote handles. I'll check out JoAnn and Hancock for the webbing. But I'm glad you found the purse pattern. I'd like to try it. I've been looking at your pics. Your sewing area looks like it is very well organized with the thread racks, etc. Do you have 4 dogs? That pic is really something--how did you get them to lie still together? and I like you fall jacket.--very nice. Have a great weekend. Talk to you soon. Nancy
Good morning Donna, Sometimes I think basic is better! Your machine sounds very nice. I bought the serger years ago, but I've never mastered it. When I went to my class, I was the only person in the class--none of the "maybe's" came. So I had the teacher to myself for 2.5 hours. It was wonderful! I learned a lot--and I'm going to keep at it. If others can do, I should be able to do it, too!!! Hope you have a great week! Talk to you soon! Smiles, Nancy
Hi Donna, Sorry I'm not always good at getting back to you. I took a serger class yesterday in Warren PA, and I bought the Laurianne pattern by Moonlight Design. www.moonlightsdesignquilts.com I bought my serger ages ago but am only now "learning" to use it. It's my goal for the end of the year. The only part I have trouble is getting the machine set up for different stitches. We made a very small bag yesterday that has lace, quilting, gathering, lining--all done on the serger. It's so much faster for some projects. Wish me luck. Do you have a serger, Smiles, NC
Hi Donna, Thanks for the Clothide link. I found the travel tote, but I couldn't find the purse that you can change the outsides. Maybe not Clothide. I am going to make the one you made. Yours turned out so nice and pretty, too! Hope you have a great week. Smiles, NC
