Hi Pauline! I did end up ordering four of the snowman panels and tucking them away. They will go on my TO DO list and will make wonderful gifts for some of my friends next year. Thanks so much for your help in finding them!
I did quilt my table runner by machine. I don't quilt I usually send my quilts to a long arm quilter. This was so small I knew I had to do it so it sat for a long time. I actually had fun doing it. It was the second thing I have ever tried to quilt.
Pauline, thank you for the lovely comments you left on my quilt photos. I've been caring for my elderly Mother for the past few years and I don't get out to Quilt Guild or Stitch Group anymore, so it's really nice getting feedback from other quilters.
Yes Pauline, I would say I am definitely a snowman lover! That is almost all I decorated with this year. I have about 50 snowmen of all sizes and shapes sitting around the foyer, living room, kitchen, bathroom...not to mention another 100 or so snowman ornaments on the tree! And there are still quite a few in totes that I didn't even put out this year. They are just so fun and cheery, for a season that can be so dreary and COLD in Minnesota.
Thanks so much for your help looking, and sorry for all the typos in my last post! My fingers need to slow down and pay attention to what they are doing! Anyway, I checked the links you sent and they have a snowman panel, but it isn't the same one you used. The design is different, and I loved where it said SNOW at the top of your. But, long story short, I kept looking and found one that actually came in a kit with 16 fat quarters to make the flying geese border, and it is already ordered! Maybe next year I'll have it done for Christmas and be able to show you!!! Another thing to add to my huge "TO DO" list! :)
Wow, Pauline! Are all your blocks sew together? and how about the blue border? Are you planning to rip it off again? If this was my quilt I'd add a narrow blue border and then a pieced or appliqued border around that. Take a look at my pineapple quilt. Sort of like that only on a larger scale.
Wow he is so cute I think he'll like the snow except for the snow that makes balls on his fur and in between his toes, we don't have any snow yet but it sure feels like it a real nip in the air and the wind is blowing today. Thanks for posting me the pic, do you guys get snow in Kentucky? What have you been working on in the sewing dept?
