Brenda you have been so sweet to me through Mr Man's illness and passing and I just want to say thank you for your sweet words of compassion and comfort. It means so much to me and I appreciate your thoughtfulness. God Bless You!!
Thank you Brenda for your kind words regarding Mr Man. I looked through your pictures and found your picture of Max and Ginger and left you a note on each. We have had many dogs in our almost 45 years of marriage and they are each special in their own way. Some I have gotten closer to than others. Mr Man is one of those, maybe because he was born in an emergency situation because Coco was not able to have him naturally because he was too big. She had her first 3 natural but had to have Mr. caserean. He has been by my side since the nurse first brought him to me wrapped in a towel and told me to massage him to get his vital organs and heart going!! That was almost 15 years ago. Seems like only yesterday!!! Thank you for thinking of us during this time.
Hi Brenda, I received the fabric today and your card. I'm a little confused. But then I looked at the birthday list and figured why maybe you might be confused. My birthday was Feb. 4, but I signed up about a week late so my name was written in. Just in the wrong spot. I can return it since my birthday was a few months ago if you like. Let me know.
I Brenda, thanks for commenting on the post. The Platte Valley where I-80 runs is nice. That is a long stretch of road. The terrain changes quite a bit on both the north and south sides once you get out of the valley. I met a lady once who was from Kansas. They traveled Hwy 83 (north and south) through Nebraska several times a year to get to family in the Dakotas. She said she'd heard that there were people who llived in Nebraska, but she never saw any evidence of it! It made me laugh then and I still chuckle over her comment when I think of it.
Hi Brenda, Keep warm with those quilts. I lived in North Lima, Ohio until 2007 when we moved to Fl. I don't miss the cold and the snow and the layers of clothes you would have to wear to keep warm. Happy quilting. Glad to hear that you found the quilt.
Thanks for the birthday wishes, Brenda! Blessings abound! DH and I fenced winter feed ground yesterday. It is hard work! I'm not as sore today as what I thought I'd be! The weather here is hovering around the zero mark, but we don't have any snow yet. I've finished up a t-shirt quilt for our son for Christmas and just have one to finish up for our daughter. They are just tied quilts, so it doesn't take too long. Her top is done, I just need to get it loaded onto the frame, tied and bound. Stitching down the binding is my favorite part. :)
Hope this finds you well. THanks again for the birthday wishes.
Thanks, Brenda. All the suggestions helped. After reading, I went back and re-rolled the backing following everyone's suggestions, and it rolled on beautifully. The 108" wide backs would solve all my problems, but this happened to be a pieced, flannel back. I appreciate your input. PQ
