Nope....didn't get it finished. The holidays got in the way and I got behind on all my projects. I still have 1 block and the center to do. Added to my UFO's. I've been trying to play catch up this month, but so far I haven't gotten very far. It seems there is always something else that needs done first.
I now have the Log Cabin Heart hanging in the family room in the basement. Had Bunco down there last week-end and several of the women commented on it. I really like that pattern also, but I must have done something wrong as it doesn't want to hang straight across the bottom. Oh well...it is mine so guess it doesn't matter. I can admire it anyway!!!
Glad you mastered the half square triangles....loved your little story! and love the teacup quilt also! Have a great week-end!
Looking forward to getting to know you. Thanks for the comments on my pictures. I really admired the pictures of all the things you have done in your short time of quilting. You must spend a lot of time in your sewing space.
Hope the Quilt Cabin can help you with the pattern you are looking for. I know they still had it a few weeks ago. Let me know if they still have it. I have a Dr. appt. in Colby on Tuesday and plan to stop in there to pick up some things. It is an hour away, so don't get there as often as I would like.
Hope the weather in NY isn't as hot as here. We have had around 100 for almost two weeks and they say at least another week of this. It is not usually this hot in Kansas for this long and it is also very dry here so at least we do not have high humidity.
Thank you Rosalind. I have had a wonderful day. Talked to my 2 kids and lots of brothers and sisters. I had calls from quite a few of my friends that live farther away. Went to town and did a bit of shopping also. Had a great day .
Hi! My friend doesn't advertise yet, she is just getting into it and does it for her friends in her guild. I actually have 2 daughters going to college - one in Rochester NY into her 4th year and my youngest is going to south carolina - far from Texas! sorry you had a hard time with that quilt I liked, hopefully if you make it again, it'll be easier :)
Thanks so much Rosalind! Glad you are into quilting, it is one of my favorite past times! I do make up my labels as I go, just got into the picture labels about a year ago and love the outcome of each. I get my patterns from just about anywhere. Friends, magazines and pattern books. I get a "free Pattern" each month from a website. My cupcake quilt is one of my favorites, for my daughter who leaves for college this coming August. I mostly give my quilts to a friend to quilt on her long arm, but have pinned before, not my favorite. I'll have to try the spray sometime. Now that I think about it, I have heard of the spray, just don't do enough quilting of my own. I have a "drum" quilt that I will be quilting myself on my machine, just need to get in there and do it. I am going to the Minnesota quilt show in June when I am visiting a dear friend up that way. You live in NY - not sure where you city is, but my middle daughter attends RIT in Rochester NY so I am in the state of NY at least once a year. Thanks again and talk soon!
Hi Rosalind...thanks for visiting some of my sites...the Quilter's block case can be ordered at www.grahamcrackercollection.com ..it is part of the graham cracker collection GCC018...it was fun to make and very useful...
Glad to hear you are home...Jennie told me last night. Take care and don't get going full steam ahead until you are ALL BETTER. I had a friend who thought it was okay to get moving again and was miserable! Be well!!! See you soon!
Thank you, thank you, and thank you! It is nice when someone notices our work and it gives you much pride as well as the desire to do more. Thanks you also for the name of the charm pack, it is not often that I see a line that I really like the contrast of colors in. I do like how these scale. Stop by for a cup of coffee sometimes and we will visit again.
PS- I do like the Viking Sapphire 875, but it is very similar to the babylock. I almost bought the babylock but this machine was used for a quilt show for a weekend and they knock $600 off the price. Money talks! lol
