I've found that designing your original work is very satisfying. But the hardest thing is to fit the design into a block. Is it going to be a wellknown tamplate or will you need to design the block, too? It's very difficult and took me a long time to acctually complete a design. now I have more ideas on paper that time to make the quilts.

Hi, My name is Helen. I have been quilt for some 20 years. I also belong to a quilting club here in my town and we meet twice a week at the Senior Center and hand quilts. I also quilt at home on my machine. Moved here 7 years ago and really got into quilting as it is colder here then in California where I came from. Will try and post pictures later for you to view. Thanks for the welcome.

Debi, I forgot to answer your question of how to know when or who is having a birthday......If you go to the main page and look on the right hand side at the bottom of that line it show the birthdays for the day. I try to go there every day and wish a birthday wish for those there.
Debi, I would be happy to be your friend. I think that if anyone is brave enough to try hand quilting they will eventually get tough fingers or learn to deflect that needle with some sort of protection.
Thank you for your kind comments.
I didn't have anyone to show me how to quilt so i am still learning but i feel i can say i can quilt, i tend to do all mine by machine but some do the blocks by machine then when it comes to quilting the 3 layers together do it by hand, myself i have only so far done stitch in the ditch or diagonal but am hoping to change that soon fingers crossed lol
I don't at present have any pets am thinking of possible getting a small dog but not sure am looking to see if something catches my eye to make me change my mind lol
I am sure you can do the quilting & if you go to www.quiltinaday.com (Eleanor Burns site) & click on media theater you will find some programs on there that may help also depending on what you get on your TV i know some channels show some i think one is on PB channel
