Hi Peg! I like them both. The green has a cooler, more winter look to me. The purple has a southwest feel. This one is strictly personal I guess, so my vote is purple. And I honestly like them both. I really do like the green fabric, though. It's gorgeous! Oh, I'm so confused!!!
Good afternoon, how are you doing? I am good, I need a nap I think. HA HA Just wanted to ask you for your address for the group project. It snowed here last night about 4 inches or so. Really light weight, suppose to get some more this week and later tonight. Have a great day.
Hi Peg; I got you down. No you can cut every square different if you want, just what ever you want to do. I have a variety of colors dark and light. Most of the ladies have been sending there address to each other through there message deal that is on the left hand side of there page. The only one that can read it is the one you are sending it to. Mine is on my page so you can look on it for mine. I will let everyone know you are on the list later tonight. I will send you the list of all the names as of tonight. I put a cut off as of Feb 1st so sometime around that date I will be finalizing the list and letting everyone know how many squares to send each of the ladies. Have any questions please feel free to ask.
Hi Peg, did you get your copies I sent. Just wanted to check with you and see how you liked the pattern. I will be waiting to hear from you to see if you are joining up with us on the quilt. Have a good afternoon.
Hi Peg- Welcome to the Iowa group from one of your fellow "quilting addicts"! LOL My philosophy is that quilting does not make your lungs black, nor does it kill your brain cells- so I consider quilting a HEALTHY activity! *grin*
Hope to hear more from you~Marcia
Hi Peg, Wow, Iowa City-this is great! Welcome to our group! I live in Waterloo and get down your way quite often. I love to go to Kalona. I retired from the phone company 5 years ago and spend my time with family activities, traveling and quilting! This group is a lot of fun. I always wanted to be involved in an online group and this one is great! Trish
Hi Peg, Im Rhonda and I live in Panora, 50 mi W of DSM. I have been quilting seriously for about 5 years now. I have sewn all my life, just never quilted. Now Im hooked and cant seem to do anything else. I work full time in DSM for Qwest. I will have 30 years in April of 2009. Married have 2 boys one lives in Dsm and the other is a freshman at Central College in Pella. We are empty nesters and its kinda nice to be able to have the time to sew without interuptions from the boys. Not that I dont love them, just have to many needs when Im trying to do something for myself if you know what I mean?? This group is pretty fun so Im glad you joined us. Rhonda
Hi Peg On your My Page on the left hand side of your screen scroll down till you come to your group's. Click on Iowa Quilters. It should take you right to all the messages for the group. I had a lady give me a paper with the pattern on it. Scrappy Friendship Quilt. If you want a copy send me your email and I will send a copy to you. If you get the magazine "Quilt" Feb/Mar 2009 a similar quilt is in there, but it is called Cottage Romance. In that magazine it also shows 9 ways to do this quilt. I would be willing to send you those pages also. Just let me know. Your try the group page and if you need help you can ring me again.
