Thanks Sue for your input.  I like the idea of using it on the back with borders.  I didn't know it said do not rely by email.  I need to change that.  Hope you are having a great week.  I have also started my next quilt called Teacher's Pet.

Hi Sue, I saw your posts on the Around the Quilt Frame discussions and clicked your page, only to find out you're from McHenry! I live just south of you. You're only the second person from our county I've found here -- there's a woman in Woodstock as well. I enjoyed seeing your quilts, especially all the applique!

Thanks for the help Sue, but the problem is I used muslin on the front for the plain in between the batiks, so I wanted something a little less plain... that's where I was hoping for something a little different. Thanks for the advise though!!!

Beautiful work, Sue!

I have a couple of quilt tops that need basted so I can start in on them. Either that or I need to learn how to quilt in a frame so I don't have to baste. :0)

Still like that Sunbonnet Sue quilt of yours, and the log cabin one, and the .... :0) Have a good day.

I am okay, Sue. I had to just see the doctor for blood pressure medication. I know that I am anxious a lots with all the problems that I have been having.
I plan on trying that project as soon as I can. I know that I can at least figure out some colors and I am keeping your directions handy. I will ask question to you if and when I find that I am having problems, probably at the FIRST. lol ;-))) And the middle, and the end. ;-)
The pressure that I have right now is those baby quilts.
Take care.

Thank you, I will have to write all of this down and start thing about it. I have to do those quilts for baby 3. She is due any time now. That will be my son's second child. I plan on going to CA in May to visit with them after I finish grading all papers and turning grades in for my online English class. Today, I had to go to the doctor to renew my migraine medications. I am fighting a migraine now. It is very hard to work on the Internet when I have a migraine because of the light.
Have a good one and thank you for all your wonderful correspondence.

You don't think that I need a pattern? I like what you have done with the trianges and think that the project would look nicer with the trianges. I think the second project, number 8 is more of a eye catcher because of the orange. How wise are the squares? Did you say that you had this pattern online?
I have a meeting this coming Tuesday and don't really like what they want to do (sewing meet). They want us to take something old and made something new from it. The only thing that I can think of is making a purse from old jeans.

I will look for that at the Dollar store because I am very interested in making this item. Maybe I can even "Show and Tell" it at the sewing meet. I have never presented anythng yet for the group to do. I am going to start asking the other Paulettes if any of them have sewn this project. ;-)
Thank you, Paulette

Did you put something on the back of the fabric that is under the sewing machine in pictures 7 & 8 to prevent the machine from moving?

Thank Paulette

The sewing machine quilt like is a wonderful idea and to think that it has pockets to hold all our wonderful tools. ;-) I think that one I could really get into because I have not seen any class mate have such a thing and you are right. The machine can move all over the table. Not even my instructor has one of those quilts. The places that I go to is really a horrible bunch of people. They are very crude. I do not know how the instructor even calls herself an instructor. I do not like to talk about people but sometimes I feel like I am going to pop open if I don't talk about it. ;-0 Anyway, I have never cut triangle mustless sew them together. I love the idea of that project. Both of them look great. You kow, those would make wonderful presents for people that do not quilt but just sews when they have to. I know a few church people that would be impressed. lol Some only do mending. The star quilt is lovely, also. The colors!! If you write the pattern down regarding the machine project, I can ask at least pick out some colors for now.
Well, later. It is late and I need to do something before going to sleep.

I like the quilts: card trick, cat with girl on white, your sewing machine ones. What is the purpose of the sewing machine ones? They are so pretty and look like they are easy enough for me to make. lol I really like them all but I suppose that I am looking from a view point of what I can do.
Got to go and start some supper.

I am trying to finish up another set of five baby quilts right now because the thrid baby will be here shortly. I believe they said the 21... My son said they didn't really need quilts because of the last batch that I did for Lily Sky. Isn't that a cute name. ;-) Anyway, I told him that the unborn baby deserved some new quilts of her own. He agreed so I am trying to finish them. I plan on going there, CA, in May. I will let you know when I am free to start a new project. Do you have patterns from your work or how do you work?

Thanks, Paulette and Zoocrew

Yes, I can understand that. You know the slide show with them movingis what catches my eye and I just keep watching it as if I have never seen it before and there is several that I wonder how you made them. Are you interested in hot air ballons? I have seen them up close here in SA plus in New Mexico.
Have you ever thought to do a tea pot quilt? I think I would enjoy doing one. I saw one in the Bay area of CA last year when I visit a quilt show. I stayed with my son for two weeks after the birth of their first child and I found out about the show I just took off. Those poor children were trying to just cope with the baby crying at night. I would have helped more but she was breast feeding and did not want to put any milk in a bottle so I was there to clean and cook. lol A MAID!!

I was trying to say that I would not like to take anyone else class time to help me, that is the job of the instructor.

This instructor just fly by the seat of her pants and admits it but I was such a beginner that I have put up with a lots but now I have started missing classes and only going when I really need help. Yes, she refer me to another student in class and I told the instructor that I would like to take that laides schooling time for her to help me. The other places seem kind of high to me but I guess I am use to ceramic prices. I am paying $10. a class right now and was not missing any classes until now. The people that attend the class are kind of crude, also. Even the owner has not stopped the nasty comments and words. The owner is there with us during this time, a male. I am a Christian and I try to conduct myself as such. I try not to judge but this place is getting on my nerves. Plus I have done work in class, thinking it was okay because the instructor okayed it but when I got home, I have had to redo half of the top. So you can see how my experiences from there is catching up with my nerves. I am not sure where to go from here. I wish I could find somone that is quilting in my neighborhood area. Someone that could get me out of a jam and even pay them for some instructors when I need it. I do not like UFO very much.

Thanks for your comments toward quilting the Halloween quilt. I might just do the hand quilting because it is relaxing that is how I did so many baby quilts. I have not even put all the quilts online that I did for my son's first baby. The second is about due.
