Hi Irene, haven't heard from you in a while, so thought I'd check in. Are you having winter yet in Montana? We had a skiff of snow last week, but it melted as soon as it hit the ground. It has been on the chilly side, but that is normal for us in November. Actually I'm surprised we haven't had more winter weather. Last year we had a big snowstorm the first weekend in October. I've been working on a couple of tied t-shirt quilts for my kids for Christmas. I have one other quilt I'd like to have done before Christmas, but am not sure it will happen. I'll keep trying. Best wishes, PQ
Irene, thank you for the birthday wishes you sent me in May. I've just gotten back into doing the normal things in life again. I had open heart operation in March and a stroke in April and allot of rehab. Praise the Lord. Life is great and it feels good to sew again. Thanks for thinking about me.
The challenge is out, lets see how many of us can join the wonderful new campaign called Stitching for Pink !!! Starts today until 30 October. Its gonna be so much fun with 10 projects to complete. Come on Embroiderers lets unite and join the fight against Breast Cancer !!!
I would like to know the meanings of these blocks now that i have read some meanings in The Quilters Apprentice. Like chimney and cornerstones i can see what the pattern is,and because of the meaning if i was making i would be sure to make the darker side not too dark. I think it would be good if a magazine put the name plus the meaning beside a pattern. Love the photos of your family. all the best,Pat
Irene thanks for that, sounds like fun. Dreadfully cold in this part of the world today.Wind and rain and some parts getting snow, friend sent tex message she is on way home wants to beat the snow on the mountain pass, coming home today instead of tomorrow.I love all the blocks in your photos, Pat in New Zealand
Thanks for the ideas for my quilting frame. I'm sure I need lots of ideas. My frame and machine actually came from Boulder, MT. I've been to both the little and big quilt stores in Townsend. What a small world!
Hi Irene. No I haven't done any longarm work yet. Life is getting in the way but I do hope to do some later this week or next. I just have too many projects going at the same time, friends really bad sick, problems with my own health, trying to get my house organized, etc., etc., etc. Thanks for asking though. Your work is beautiful. Who are all the kids? How long have you been quilting? I like your choice of colors and patterns too. I like stars, pinwheels and that sort of thing. Love the purple. Is that satin? What is it going to be?
Love and Hugs, Dee

You love your machines as I do mine. I have an old hand crank and a treadle that both work plus 3 featherweights that just work beautifully. Thought I would give them to my sisters someday.
