My idea of cleaning weeds, planting potatoes, got rid of plenty of weeds. Now I can focus on my favorite sewing.. Potatoes work for any soil. But dandelions another problem, where I tell everyone I planted some beautiful flowers in my yard.. They ask what kind of flowers and I say their like marigold looking flower.. (Lol)
Thank you for looking at my quilts and commenting on Traci's quilt. Since I made it and gave it to her, her ex had spilled something on it. He washed it and hung it on the outside line hoping to get it dried before she came home from work. Then his husky dog tore it off the line and ripped a huge hole in it. So he then put it in the dog's kennel!!!!! She and I cried for hours after that one.
Thank you for your comments on my table runner. My local quilter did the work on the quilting. I usually only do stitch in the ditch (and other straight line work) or some stippling. I like your table runner and quilt. Great job. Keep up the good work.
Morning Jill. So glad you commented on the blog site - everyone is very friendly and we've been chatting together for years.
For the Isabelle - I used my computer to print each letter as large as I needed. After, I thought it might have been better to tape some freezer paper to the computer screen and trace directly. Wasted a lot of ink.
I haven't updated my photos for about a year, so might get to that this week.
Queen size quilts are a bear to pin baste. Are you quilting it on your home machine? In the summer, I use our deck for basting. I can run the pins down the spaces in the boards and makes it easy to line up the layers. But...in the winter, its the floor or quilt shop. Post a picture when your done quilting, would love to see it.
I didn't start the MQ - too many projects on the go already - but a lot of the ladies are doing it. I almost started, but stopped myself :)
Thanks for your comments. Happy to have a BC friend! Why don't you join our Canadian group? A fun group and lots of good inspiration. Where do you shop in Vancouver for quilt supplies? I like Hamels in Chilliwack.
