Hey Renee, What's going on with you? I hope no one in your family is ill. Maybe, you are on vacation. I haven't heard from you in such a long time that I am getting worried. If you are just busy, I understand. Just let me know you are OK! Carol
PS Your quilts are great!
Hi Renee...I tracked you down using the Quilting in Texas links because I wanted to ask you about that group. It is dead in the water? I asked for the owner to post to say if she was still involved with the group or had moved on to other things but she didn't respond. I really want a group that is more active, with more quilty talk. I read some of the posts at Lone Star Galz and that seems more my style. Do you think I can join as I'm only a Winter Texan? Hope to hear from you and get your take on the other group and whether it's still something to belong to. Thanks!
Love your quilts and your color choices! Sorry for not getting back sooner with comments; there are so many groups on here to check out it seems it takes a long time to see everything...
Hello Renee, thank you so much for the kind message, I don't hold out much hope for the book, my daughter has ordered it for me and paid for it, they say end July beginning August now for delivery. I just feel it is too long. I really want to make the Quilt, I will, I know I will, but not here. Like you I also have lots of things on the go, that is a Quilter's lot I guess.
Another reason though, is I just cannot get the hang of this site. But bless you for the message I appreciate it.
Hi Renee - Brentwood is about 20 minutes south of Nashville. I am not a Tennessean though, I am a Texan! I transplanted to TN about 2 years ago for work. Even though I use ya'll all the time - I do not have an accent! - LOL - that's what we all say!
It sure is! I found the pattern in the Quilter's Complete Guide by Fons & Porter. It is called Tessellated Star. The pattern is only 4 x 3 stars but I made mine 6 x 3 because it helped the colors flow. It was a lot of fun to make.
