I hope that your okay and that I can get into a group soon. Any exciting block swaps I've missed out on? Sewing has not been in my top 10 things to get done lately too many other things but hopefully it will be soon.
Sorry, took so long to reply, been sewing/yard work being so nice summer outdoors for winter has it's do drum. Only embroidery is by machine. Had a Bernina at one time when it broke down, being older model no one to repair. Miss it of course waiting for that ideal job, having to reinvent myself for the workforce, don't know if I'll ever get back to work.
Hi Amanda, you have quite the 2015 UFO list, good luck! I also love star blocks and I'm currently working on a star throw in homespun fabrics. Our golden had a cancer growth removed last week and movement has to be restricted, so I've been keeping her and our puppy with me in my sewing room. I am catching up on some quilting!
Hey Amanda anything I join the name is betweens I think I added you as one of my favorites also on Flickr. I have not posted pictures in a while so you may see some old stuff...LOL Did you ever get the CW quilt put together? The blocks were great to work with. I am currenly working on blocks from a "winter block swap" I did from another blogger. I only got 10 blocks so added eight more. and putting it together in a lightening bolt type setting. I have to find my camera to take more pictures and post.
I am doing well, I got a chihuahua that had taken up some time, training and all he was a rescue from our Humane Society. He had been there for 3yrs no one would attempt to know him due to fear aggression issues but I have convinced him that I am not a bad person and here to love him, he is slowly coming around. and I love him to bits, I am at his beck and call.LOL Thanks for saying hi back and looking forward to seeing more of your work and ribbons.
The patterns are in the mail. They should be there Thursday. I do have a tracking number if you don't get them. I got out my finished blocks and took some photos. Now I will try to upload them. The way the week has been going I don't expect that I will do this on the first or second try. :>)
Good to hear from you Amanda-just too darn busy to keep up with swaps it seems. I finished my Secret Sister early and haven't done anything else since except a few Christmas gifts. Once in a great while I browse the different swaps going on, but I really don't have much free time at the present! Hopefully by the end of 2014 I'll be able to get back in the groove-MISS ALL OF MY FRIENDS HERE!
Amanda, I hope you enjoy the towels. Do you cook or bake much? Any way it goes, maybe you can hang them in your kitchen or powder room and think of the fun Christmas swap. Let me know if you want the homemade goodies I offered.
I was so glad that I got you for a secret sister because you showed a lot of interest in quilting and you are an active participant. I loved your connecting threads box story... I should have written Secret Sister all over the box! I'm thrilled that you like your blocks and hope we have a similar swap like this soon :D Enjoy your blocks and goodies!!!
hi amanda, i am a bit of a detective LOL. mari mentioned one yesterday in the notions blog. so i checked in with new kits this morning as the kits appear first. discovered this over time and cannot wait to see them, so i am probably one of the first to see them LOL. then I drool and drool some more.
Amanda, thank you so much for your kind comments on my 'Joy Comes In The Morning' art quilt. It truly was an inspired piece. I was working on it late Sat. night, not knowing that the next day our DD would end up in ICU on life support. At one point we almost lost her. But through the power of prayer and our Loving Heavenly Father's healing touch, she is still with us. In fact she came home from the hospital yesterday. The doctor's didn't expect her to be out for several more days. This piece will always have a special place in my heart and home. We have four days left before we have to be moved out and into our motor home. What a week this past one has been!
