Thanks for your comment on my post, Barb. Quilt shows do get my brain going. More ideas than time. Haha. I will try to post some pictures of my latest w I p's shortly although I am not very good at remembering to do that. Your fall table runner is cute with the pumpkins. Hope your day Issa good one.
Thank you Barb for the nice compliment concerning my new sewing room. I'm glad it inspired you. I was sad leaving my old room at the house but am content in my new space. I do miss my office desk that I had in my sewing room. I am truly content in this small apartment. I never thought I would be. I'm good at accepting my circumstances. It makes it easy to adjust when your not grieving over what you had before. I have more time to play now as the house had 7 large rooms to clean. I can clean this whole place in the time it took to do one room at the house. Yesterday I helped plant potatoes in the community garden here in the complex. I'm glad it's raining today. lol
I'm hoping for the all clear signal on my arm also. The last X Ray showed new bone filling in the break. The cords in my wrist have tightened with the hand brace on so I have some work to do exercising it to get the strength back into it. I can hardly wait to get back to my machines and get my kitchen and living room curtains made.
Hi Barb, I agree that a little color in our new apartment is going to put a homey touch to it. It almost blinded me it's all so white. I found enough red fabric in my stash to make tab curtains for my sewing room. I can go a little "wild" there as opposed to the other rooms. lol
Hello Barb. Thanks for the comment. This stash dent doesn't seem to be very obvious yet. Hopefully it will soon or I'm in trouble. No matter how organized I try to be I keep running out of room for fabric. Must stop shopping??? Probably not going to happen anytime soon. Having fun with the string quilt using up thinner strips of fabric. Kind of relaxing don't have to think too much when doing it. Just pick a strip and stitch it on.hope you had a nice day.
Barb you make me laugh I hope to see more of the PHD`s out and about it would be nice to be able to see some come back and finished. There are so many patterns as you know that it is hard to keep up. thanks for your lovely comment on my baskets
Hi Barb, thanks for the info. I was buying the cord at Walmart but it was not the shiny diamond kind. It was dull and plain and was cotton covered polypropalene but when I went two days ago they didn't have any, so I've found another place to buy it, but I have to check to see that it's the right kind. I know that JoAnns carries it but it's more expensive. I'll let you know what I find out!
Hi Barb: I may be a good quilter, but not so great with the computer. I've been on QWU for years now and just found where the replies to my blog posts were <G>. Thanks for your kind words. I'm fixated on Craftsy at the moment. Normally I do pretty serious applique projects. But this year I've had some health issues to deal with (eyes) and it's given me a jolt. I need to have some fun again. So with all these quilts in the queue to be finished, I'm going to go Modern for a bit and see what I can turn out. Joe's got a wonderful way about him. He's serious, but with a twinkle in his eye. My husband was listening to Joe while I was watching Craftsy one day and suggested it was time I did something to have some fun again. They're both right. So things may change a bit for me...not a lot..I do love applique...but a little fun doing some modern quilting is just the ticket for a cold winter day. Before you know it, it'll be Spring and we'll wonder where the winter went to <LOL>
Thank you, Barb, for your kind comments on my crazy quilt. Family history means a lot to me and I try to incorporate into my quilts when I can. I hope it's a way I can pass it on to the next generation. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Your comments were so sweet and so appreciated! Yes, you're right, doll clothes aren't the easiest things to make but that smile of Lorenza's made it all worth while! It's a pleasure meeting you by the way and I just really enjoyed seeing the work that you do! Have a great day and look forward to becoming friends in the future! Rusty : )
