I will tell you a secret Debbie..when I first got my machine,I was afraid to touch it..it took me a while just to try it. I started doing designs on old towels and facecloths and old fabric before trying them on good fabric and it has taken me about a year just to be comfortable with the machine sooo don't worry just go for it.
Hello Ms Marilyn: So sorry to hear of your loss. We also lost our son then his wife a year and 1/2 later. We have their son we have had him since he was a newborn he can remember them some. I love to quilt sew and draw and design things. but i don't really like to cut out. But i do a lot of it. haha.. So nice to meet you. HOpe that you heal and have some peace soon. It is so hard so I'll will add you to my prayer list and think of you often Debbie Hankins of Harrison Ark . Love Pics.
Hi Debbie, I am honored to be your friend. I've been making quilts and clothing as a favorite past time. After my son got hit by a vehicle and died on mother's day, I guess I kind of put more time into my sewing to try and find some time to heal. Happy Holidays!!
Hi Debbie. Thank you for asking if I will be a friend. My answer is yes. I see some pictures of cats in your photos, even though you list just your dogs in your profile. I am always happy to give encouragement to a quilter. I also love color in my quilts. I have come to understand that if you like something and want to use it, then go ahead. Some people would not understand. But I have silently questioned some fabric choices made by my quilting students over the years, and their quilts have turned out beautiful and are truly a reflection of who they are.
Morning Debbie! Beware, you will become hooked on quilting and just staring at the amazing things people create here...think I spend more time looking at their pictures than quilting! And I'm with you...NOT a fan of stripes...little prints---ok...mottled colors---Great! Have a great day!
