Good Morning Heidi....Yes I knit socks. That is my favorite thing to knit, I use sock yarn and not the regular 4 ply yarn that you would use for afghans (sp?). I do have a pattern that is pretty easy....the only part you would need help with is the heel and once you get that part down you are golden. I don't mind sharing my pattern if you want to try. I do these socks on 3 needles. I also knit mittens. Thanks for friending me. Rachel
Heidi, I get on here so frequently, and I never think to go to my page and add people as friends. I think it's because all the people here are so friendly, we have a lot in common and it seems like we've all known each other for ages. Thanks for the invite!
Good morning Heidi. Make sure you sign up for the bird block swap. I just posted the guidelines. I'm hoping to get the top assembled from the floral block swap soon. Just too many projects & not enough hrs in the day!
Hi - I saw your comment about the quillows- I got my instructions from an old issue of Fons & Porters Love of Quilting magazine but there are some instructions on the web from other people if you Google them- probably the hardest part was trying to figure out how to turn it into a pillow!!
Yep! I got it when I got back from my meeting yesterday. I don't have a need to do any kits but I appreciate those pages all the same. I hope you are getting your packing done so that you will be able to get moved so that you can get back to stitchin' and quilting.
Heidi - thank you for all the kind comments on my work. I really appreciate the nice comments. I don't have a long arm - all quilting done is done on my Bernina 730. You have some beautiful work yourself!
I was only in Suzie Qs a handfull of times- they just didn't have much that appealed to me while the Hangout had a wide variety and Gayle, Deb and the girls were so friendly. I had 2 quilts quilted there and took some classes plus the house quilt on my page in my pix was a BOM from there.
I do miss FL in the winter but still love looking at the mountains!
Hi Heidi - thank you for all the comments on my quilts/projects. To answer your questions - On the "Positive/Negative Trapunto" project - I stippled it on my Bernina 730. I don't own a quilter of any kind. The wedding announcement was made because my son and his girlfriend gave me three weeks notice that they were getting married! I had to do something! LOL And, no, I don't make one for everyone. The "Painted Embroidered Sunflower" - the stitching around the center is embroidery stitches that the teacher digitized for this class. The "Sunflower" wall hanging (the one with all the bright colors) is a Lunch Box Quilt pattern called "Sunflower". I THINK it is still available.
You do beautiful work, also! I need to take my time and go through all your projects!
