Thanks, Cindy, for the suggestion and willingness to help out. I think I've found something in my stash that will work. There is a deadline (my fault for waiting so long) and I'm not close to a quilt shop. It's really such a small thing in the big picture of life, but it helped to rant a little bit, receive some encouragement as well as a few laughs along the way. I'm feeling much better about the whole thing now. And really, probably no one will notice or care except me. Thanks again! Hope all is well in your quilting world.
Hi Cindy - I had just written a book and then clicked on something else and it all went away! You mentioned we could write private messages to each other. Is this the place to do it or am I missing something? Oops! I think I just figured it out. will go and check it out!
Cindy, I took a minute to check emails and there was your invitation to be friends. Thanks for thinking of me.
I'm trying to get all the quilts completed for Robin. Talked with Jody today. She was hoping to get some of the tops quilted today.
Since I started my sewing school in October, it seems to take so much of my time just advertising to get students. It has been really slow taking off, so I hope my recent efforts bring in some business.
I see you live on Whidbey Island. I love the islands. From where I sit in my dining area of the house, I have a straight on view of Mount Rainier and it is so crisp clear today. We live only about 30 miles from the gate and try to get up there frequently, but with 2 teens still in high school and one of them homeschooled in the afternoon while the other goes to beauty college, our schedules are so screwy we seldom get anywhere!
Time to get back on track. I look forward to chatting with you and maybe even make the next retreat together!
I am very pleased to hear you received my post card and thank you for the comments. I just got back from Disney World with my grandchildren late last night and the first mail I opened was your post card. It's absolutely lovely Cindy. Thank you. I look forward to many more exchanges. Charlene
How's the new quilting room coming along? Hope you're having a good weekend. I showed great restraint yesterday and today - went into JoAnn's two days in a row and only bought two things for me (machine needles and felt for the middle of another quilt for hubby's Xmas quilt). Everything else was gifts for my two girls. I'm feeling pretty good about getting a 20 year old UFO moving forward to completion. :-)
Hi Cindy, I am still here, just not getting on QWU much. What is going on? Seems like ever since I fell and broke my leg and then lost Mr and Precious, I have been slowly backing out of the public eye. I stay home and love on my 4 new dogs. I had to say goodbye to my old family and now have a new one that keeps me busy. Hard not to with puppies even though they are now almost 3 and the pups will be 2 in July. I had another surgery in May, two of the disc in my neck ruptured and I had to have emergency surgery to get those fixed, another plate and screw and then on the 16th I have a surgery scheduled for a cyst on my eyelid and a tendon repair where I have scratched it and stretched the tendon. No time to sew. grin........ Thank you so much for checking on me, how sweet of you. It has been so long since I checked in, I wasn't sure I remembered my password!!!! Hugs!!!!
Cindy, I managed to figure out how to download all the patterns, but the conversion chart she talks about? HELP! Not a clue how to find it. I've looked and looked and still no chart. Do you think I wasn't intended to make this quilt?
'Morning, Cindy. Thanks for the link. However, I have a question. She has set hers up a little different than Bonnies mysteries so how does one print off the directions? Or, how did you approach it? Now that my CS is done, I need to get started on DA and times a-wasting!
Cindy I just wanted to say that I miss you and hope everything is going according to plans. I hope you and your hubby are do good health wise. I also hope that Bethann and her hubby are doing good also. I continue to lift you all up to the Lord. I know you have a lot on your plate and I pray that you will continue to follow in God's will.
Hi Cindy! Just a note to let you know that all your friends at Gifty are thinking of you and your family as you make your "big move". We are sending out quilty prayers and good vibes to you and hope it won't be too long before you will be back here with us again. You ARE missed!
