Hi Penny. Even though you are new to the group & haven't met Rachel yet, I wanted to let you know that I will be making a comfort quilt for her. If you want to participate, please send a 6-1/2" heart block (pattern of your choice) to:
Good morning Penny, I have just been on a wonderful journey through your gallery, your quilts are quite stunning, oh how I wish I was so proficiant at you, you have such an eye for detail and perfection its a real joy - wish you lived near me...(smile)
Penny,,, thanks for your response. I have been thinking of meandering, because of the busyness, but then was also thinking of something a little more fitting to the time. Guess when I find a LA quilter, we can make the decision together. Thanks for your remarks on my quilts.
In looking at your photo page, I see a lot that I have done, or would like to do. I love your treadle sewing machine. I have my great aunts, but a care giver put plants on top of the cabinet, then overfilled the plants, so water has totally damaged the top. Still holding out that my aunt will give me my grandmother's.
Dear Penny, I think you are right. Your home looks a lot like mine. I have my Hubbie's grandmothers singer made in 1890's and also a beautiful old white. I will post a picture the white someday. I like the way it opens and closes. Currently I use it for a wall table in my living room. Your machine is just beautiful. We live in an old farm house which was built in 1901. Although we have done some remodels I try to keep the farm look.
The challenge is out, lets see how many of us can join the wonderful new campaign called Stitching for Pink !!! Starts today until 30 October. Its gonna be so much fun with 10 projects to complete. Come on Embroiderers lets unite and join the fight against Breast Cancer !!!
HI, I just wanted to let you know that I got your photos. Where there 2 pics of quilts? Or did I miss one? And from the quilts I'm seeing in your slideshow, you could have submitted LOTS! Very nice work. :-D
