My 1st house neighbors were homeschooling, 5 kids.. They were great help to me, when I needed company or protection from a B/E and the adjustment one goes through feeling violated in your home.. I have moved to another house and lost track of them..

Sweet! We are so excited to be taking our first real family vacation!!! I'm sure we will be tuckered out but I don't have any doubt we will sleep well lol I would love for the kids to play....I know Nameer would enjoy that! We will get to St. Louis sometime that Sunday (2nd) so Monday or Tuesday would be a good day to get together. Safeer's meetings are right there in the hotel we are staying in so I will be able to take off with his pickup anytime. You can send me your phone number and/or address in an email here on QWU or my regular email: maryam_hassan2005@yahoo.com xoxox Thanks! See you soon!

Hi Becky....I just wanted to let you know that we will be in St. Louis that first week of February after going to Disney World. Safeer has meetings there so thought it would work out best if we just go there instead of coming all the way back to Newton and then make him drive back all that way the next day again. I hope we can meet up and hang out one day that week. Let me know if you have any ideas on when/where if it's possible! xoxox

I was just thinking about you and wondering how you were doing?  I hope you are feeling well and the kids are fine too.  Your table runner is fabulous!  Thank you for letting me know you got it done! xoxox

I was wondering if anyone has the Illinois road or the railroad block taken in the civil war block swap?

Have you found a pattern for your table runner yet for those awsome fabrics?  I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Yeah, they open at a quarter till 9 on second Saturday....IF you want to come and hang out there for an hour or so.  Safeer (my hubby) will be gone Tues-Thurs next week if you, your SIL and the kids want to come over for a while.  I could make lunch and some tea!

Can you come to Charlotte's Sew Natural for the Second Saturday at 9:00?  That would be neat to meet you there on July 14th!  You can call me sometime if you get a chance....I will send my phone numbers to your inbox.

i wish i would have taken pictures of everything that i have quilted and made.. my son has so many blankets for his daughter Heaven so when they had their son Gabriel they had enough blankets but now he asked me to make a few more for him.. i am going to make one with different textures.. since Gabriel we almost lost him and he cant see  .. well we are not sure how good his eyesight will be since he is still young yet.. so i have been going around and picking up different kinds of fabrics with different textures.. this will be an interesting quilt for me to make.. i will have to get my sons and daughter in laws to take some pictures of the things i have made for them.. but i am starting to challenge myself each time i make something new..  i took a couple of classes so i learned how to do on point better. and i did a twist class.. that was fun

now i am trying to get quilting curves better.. i made a cupcake potholder i will have to post them on here..after i take pictures of the ones i made for my son.. i forgot to take pic of them before i gave it to them. LOL

i will send you my email i read the rules after i emailed you and then i was in so much pain yesterday.. i had to go lay down.. i cant sit that long with my leg stretched out..

Good day to you... my new quilting friend.   looking forward to talking with quitling peeps... i get lonely at times and dont know too many people here in milwaukee that quilt. so the internet is my forte.. paper piecing sounds interesting.. i do some still learning  i am kinda a novice quilter.. it was hard raising my 5 sons. i homeschooled my two youngest sons.  my grandmother taught me to quilt but put it away while raising my sons . now that they are grown and they have seen what i have been quilting they have put in to me all kinds of requests. LOL.. so i have a list now.. hope you have a good day .

What part of St. Louis will you be located?  The 2 shops that I am most familiar with are on Lindburgh Blvd....Jackmanns and The Quilted Fox since those are near the Company's Headquarters (Monsanto)!  You will love the big mall down in that area too!  There are tons of things to do in St. Louis though I have not had an opportunity to do much there.  I hear the Zoo is fabulous!

Hi, hope everything is going well for you and your family. Have you guys decided whether you are moving or not?

Hi Rebecca, if you are interested there is a paper piecing tutorial here on the connecting threads site, it is under the tab marked learn at the top of this page and there are a bunch of tutorials, there. I watched the paper piecing one and it made sense and it didn't seem to hard.

Wow! Homeschooling three children, you must be a busy lady. I was homeschooled from 7th through 12th grades and I know the amount of work it takes.

I'm amazed at you having time to quilt with three little ones...and it's special that you're making quilts for them. Enjoy them while they are young. They grow up so fast.

Thanks for the note and have a good week.

Linda
