Ginger, welcome to my list of friends. My DH and I love the Dakotas. In his childhood DH spent a week many summers on a ranch out of Wall, SD; all of those relatives are now deceased so we just go to visit the attractions that we love. For six months my DSIL drove truck in the oil fields near Minot/Bismark areas; he said 6 months away from family was enough (my DD tho't so also). My DH used to have relatives in Grand Forks so visited there also; their last name was Winkka. So I feel like I have connections with the Dakotas. Happy quilting!
Hi Ginger nice to connect with you...we are 63 degrees tonight and Fall is in the air...just started our quilt group for the year...lots of exciting projects planned...I am making 2 baby quilts this month...one for a new great granddaughter and the other I felt to make for a new single mom...just entered 3 quilts in local fair and got 3 blue ribbons...so I am excited about that...
I loved your comment on my blog! I sure hope that you do make it to the guild meeting. If not, and you're coming up this way again you'll have to let me know also, so maybe we could get together for a while again.

PS have to do it this way as for some reason can't send reply to e-mails from site
Sorry to hear what your family has been going through. It is so difficult at any time, but near the holidays just seems to be the worse for everyone. We have our memories, but time is the best healer all all.
Such kind words, Ginger. Thank you. Perhaps you are right that God finds it easy to answer my prayers.... but I struggle too often to hear the answer -- too much wax in my ears I think! LOL From much struggle and experience I have (finally) learned that life is so much easier to handle (good and bad) when I put it all into God's hands. Life is too short to spend it wasting time being mad or feeling sorry for myself, so I have made the choice to be happy and content. There are so many here on QWU that I would love to spend time with in person.... just so blessed I can do it online in the meantime. Just think of the big quilt party we're going to have in heaven!
I think so, too. Was just previewing lettering and trying to decide if I really have time to embroider it (by hand) by Saturday. I do know she is sentimental and would like the keepsake aspect of having it personalized.
BUT my girl is home from college and I'm happy to be spending time with her! She has taken up crocheting. I may have her quilting one of these days yet. :)
