Hi Paula - we have some things in common. I've had fibro 16 years now too, officially, AND I was a church secretary for 10 years -- my favorite job I've had. Yes, quilting is the sanity and the relaxation for me from fibro as well. Glad you joined Fibro Girls. It's a great bunch!
Thanks for asking if I can join the group in August, Paula! I hope they will be OK with that...I'd love to be part of a group again.
And before that, maybe you can come by my place some day this summer.
I'm only working a couple days a week and looking for something more substantial. It's hard, but at least I get more time to quilt!
I live in Essex Jct, too! Right near the 5 Corners on Pleasant Street.
I did join the guild, but only made it to one meeting last year. I will try to make more of an effort starting in September.
When I lived in NH, I was part of a small quilt group that got together every Monday night to work on our own individual projects together. Are there any small groups or bees around here who are willing to take on a new member, do you know?
Love your Irish knot quilt!
The challenge is out, lets see how many of us can join the wonderful new campaign called Stitching for Pink !!! Starts today until 30 October. Its gonna be so much fun with 10 projects to complete. Come on Embroiderers lets unite and join the fight against Breast Cancer !!!
HI Paula, Thanks for the commet on our doggie. She is a real sweet heart.
Love your quilt work. Very nice. I have to agree with you I love the country colors also. I can spend hours when I have time just looking at fabric on line.
How are you foster dogs LOL I would want to keep them all,
God bless you. Happy Quilting.
This was my first English Paper Piecing effort and I was very pleased with the results. I really like to "Make it up as I go along."............hmmm........don't know what that says about me, but it worked for this effort. I love Baltimore quilts. I am trying my hand at a designing a couple of them: "Roses and violets" and "I still Believe", which features patriotic symbols.
Thanks, Paula! I guessed right on the block how tos, & I found the book online for a great price, so went ahead & ordered it! Am always look for cute kid quilts to make as baby gifts!
I was wondering about the I Spy quilt you did, love it! Can you tell me what block it is? Looks pretty simple, but can't find any instructions for that particular block? Not even what it's called? Yours looks great! Any info would be greatly appreciated!
Hi Paula and welcome to the group. I live in Waitsfield,
VT but spend lots of time in the Taft Corners area as well as Essex and Williston. All of my quilting friends live in that area. We only have a small quilt store in Waitsfield so I have to shop in the "city" often. Will you be going to VQF? I can't wait! Hope you enjoy our group,
