Hi Jamnut! I would like to thank you for starting Quilting Canadians. I was wondering why you don't pop in on the conversations from time to time. I have been on it now for over a year and haven't met you yet. It is a fun and very helpful group.

Thanks for your comments on my sister's quilt.  How have you been?  Any more cruises planned?  We are trailering down the Oregon coast this summer and hoping to get to Sister's for the big show.  My friend and I have been talking about it for a long time; now the guys have agreed to go.  Even if we use a parking lot to camp in, we will be happy.

Hello. I someday want to get to your island as I hve a cousin there. (Ed and Lucille Marcotte) Lucille used to have a flower shop there.
It would be nice if we could find more people from BC and plan a retreat together.
Getting together with a guild member today and planning our scrap group for the guild year.

Hi Janet. Thought I would check in on you. Will you still be cruising alone? You probably will be happy to crash at night and won't really miss having someone in your room. My two friends and I are getting excited. We have not been to Alaska and two of us have never gone on a cruise. How many classes will you be taking and which ones? We have signed up for three of them.

I am looking forward to meeting you. Take care. Myrna

Hi Janet. Have you heard from your friend yet? I sure hope she doesn't back out on you. We actually have another friend who has booked as well. It should be a lot of fun.

Hi Janet; we booked an inside room yesterday. I just think a room will not make much difference. We are not going to be spending a lot of time in there anyway and a few people I have talked to said they had no problem with it. And so we thought the money could buy more fabric or whatever when we visit those shops. lol We also have a third gal who now is wanting to go and she is hoping her friend will go too. This should be a lot of fun.

I just spoke with another friend who tells me she wants to go as well. I was thinking of booking an inside room; do you see any problem with that? I figure we won't be staying in our room only to sleep so why waste the money on windows or balconies. Having never been on a cruise before, I am looking for input from people who have cruised.

Jamnut, that's the one! WOW! this will be so much fun! Right now my friend is starting to rethink and I keep telling her that she has committed herself. Are you going with anyone? A friend? Your husband? Have you ever been on a cruise before? I am so excited and I am planning things every night when I go to bed.

Good morning! I was in that van with Beth going to Powell River for their quilt show. We had a great time. We held up the ferry line returning home as we were all sitting out in the sun talking and did not notice it was time to load up! Beth told me to join this group. http://www.sendpix.com/albums/09032119/vkx2ua3bbh is where the quilt show photos are.

Hi Jamnut,
Sorry to hear you were ill. I am a new member of Quilting Canadians and haven't spoken to you before. My sister lives in Nanaimo, but it has been over 10 years since I was able to visit her.( she has been home here to Ontario a couple of times since then). When we were there we visited Salt Spring Island and I was completely enchanted by it. I also had a friend from work who moved to Salt Spring Island and opened a B&B. Not sure if she till lives there or not. Her name is Linda Ritchie and her husband's name is Jamie.
