Wishing you a happy New Year. We haven't communicated for a while, but I do read your posts and am glad you are doing well.
I too have retired last year and so I am trying to get my sewing room organized, and try to get rid of fabrics I no longer need. I have 20+ years of stash to go through and I find it so overwhelming. I will try and hold a yard sale as soon as the last snow patch leaves the ground, so that should give me at least 5 months cleanup.
I hope you are enjoying yourself, it seems that your move with your son has been a very good one and that you have more room for your quilting hobbies.
Hi Trevi, Thanks for the invite, I am very new to quilting but love it, fortunately I have lots of time to do so. If you can't see from my email address I live in South Africa and we are having a terribly hot summer.
this is Joanna from Connecticut,,just wondering if you could tell me how the weather is down there,,we have heard it is pretty bad,,like a drought you have never seen before.
we hear news,,but alot of time I do like to talk to people in other states just to find out about them and their weather,,would you please write back and let me know. I love talking to new people. and besides my husband after 2 1/2 yrs of being laid off got a job at international paper 3 miles down the road from our house,,God is good..
Glad to know you've move to your new home. It must be really exciting. I went back to work yesterday, but now I'm on the 'bench' and my boss tells me I should take some self-study courses online. I don't mind studying, but she didn't tell me what courses I should take. And she hasn't been returning my phone calls nor e-mails.
Thanks for the well wishes. Just got back from a Christmas visit to Tyler, TX. Daughter and grandkids. Had a wonderful time. Is Trevi any where near Tyler. Would love to add you as a friend. Will do that separately. Happy and Blessed New Year. Regards, Joan
Funny you should have said the thing about "it's ok" because that is what I said to new dil to make her relax. I warned the priest ahead of time that the family would most likely be late and he was patient saying the hispanic culture is like that...and hearing you I guess he was right??? I have much more of the story to tell you one day, just too long to type on here. Thanks for staying a friend. I hope you settle into your new home and sugarland isn't THAT far away!
Trevi: I know it should be where I left it but I'll need a land mine to get in. It's just off the garage so we tend to drop things in there to get them out of the hallway. Hope all is going well with you. I so missed having the time to visit on QWU. I'm looking forward to getting my life back...if just a little. Have a great Sunday.
Maybe we can trade...some of my chilly for some of your heat? lol It has been getting up to 60s and 70s during the day but early morning it is 40s...It is a quick shower. Our leaves are starting to turn color and soon the leaf "peepers" will be here. lol People actually come visit our state to see the fall leaf colors!
