Hope, don't want to pressure you, but the UFO Block Swap due date is only 5 days away. It's been a couple of months now and we need to get finished pictures to Diane and the projects back to their owners. If you can't get this one done, just ship it back, as it is. No problem. Take care.
Hope, I'm so glad it was the one you were looking for. your description hit a fuzzy memory; have to admit it took a bit to come up with the words of the wallhanging so I could do a search for it. Looks like you and I have quite a bit in common. (except for the hand sewing/quilting part, which I don't do) I'd love to get better acquainted.
Have your block and am working on it, heeheehee. It is going to be sooooo cute! Your 2yr old will claim it for her wall! That's all I am saying for now. Will mail it back to you soon. Don't feel rushed on mine though as they're not due until Nov. 1. Things sound promising for your DH's job prospect. So many people looking right now. Will pray for you as well. Glad you were finally able to get onto my page. Don't know what the problem could have been. This site does funny things from time to time though. Have a good one.
Hi Hope! There is another site like this one that has a swapping group. The link is www.myquiltplace.com You might want to post your Dresden Plate swap there, too to see if some more people might want to join.
Hope, you do not need an invite to join any of the swaps in the swap group dear! If you want to join, just sign up before the deadline. I think regarding the Sunbonnet Sue swap, you don't have to have that book....just use a free pattern and add a dress and/or accessories to make that Sue look like she is from some special place and it would pass with flying colors! Here are some links to free Sunbonnet Sue Patterns:
This is a swap for 5” charm squares to be used in an I-Spy quilt or a disappearing 9 patch quilt (or anything else you would like). The only requirement is that there be a whole Christmas thing to find in the 5” charm (it’s no fun to try and find half a Santa Face). It can be Christmas trees, stockings, toys, dreidels, menorahs, Christmas animals, candy canes, snowflakes, anything that is Christmas. You are only limited by your imagination and your fabric store.
If you would like to join this swap please email Donna at Donnaspins1@yahoo.com with your name and home address and email address. The deadline to join is August 31st.
On September 1st she will email you the list of names and how many different 5” charm squares you need to send to each person. Charms should be sent out no later than October 1st so that everyone will have time to make their favorite little person’s I-Spy quilt in time for Christmas.
She used the instructions on this web site to make her I-spy quilt
Hello! You certainly have creative names for your pets!! No inside pets for us any more, but we have some outdoor cats(Toodles, Lion & Mellow) and dog Wrangler). This site is 'sew' much fun. I have been blessed with many new friends. And it seems like there is always a new group to join. Nice to 'meet' you!
The Desdan Plate Swap is exchanged already. Sorry.
IF you really are interested, I have a list of about 6 others interested in DPs and several on the original DP swap who are too. It's not hard to host a swap, it certainly takes no great skills, just a commitment to sort and mail as you get piles of gorgous blocks sent to you. I'd be willing to mentor a new leader.
