Took the IPhone to the Apple store. They were able to download it and burn it on a CD. My son was able to turn it in,last week, on the first day of school. Now I just need to figure out how to download stuff off of my IPod. It is about time to upgrade it and they won't move the music, etc from one iPod to another.
Thanks for the note. I'm still trying to learn my way around the site. I've joined a few groups, joined a block swap, and accepted a few friend requests.
I hope to get a few pics posted sometime soon. I can't say when "soon" will be. I have some great pics of a few of my projects that I'd love to share. If I can figure out how to upload me from my IPad, I could do it now. If not, it will have to wait until I'm in front of a desk top.
Thank you so much for letting me be your friend. I think I am going to enjoy this site. As we are all quilters and everyone has a problem once in awhile. I am really tired today so I won't get much done. I am working on baby dolls for Greatgrand -daughters. The weekend is here hope you have a good one.
I have to confess I have never taken part in a Blog post. I have been so busy last few days. I have a new quilt frame, and need help putting it together. I have been trying to find the conduit to put it together. Will get there eventually. Have a husband who needs my help most of the time. But I am going to give it a try very very soon. It is nice chatting with you so I know some of the others will be fun too. It will help me be connected with the rest of the world.
Thanks for your wonderful welcome. Yes, as of late live has blessed my with an overage of sewing fun, from quilt retreats, expos, and now a new job repairing these lovely beauties of sewing machines. Love the projects you make, might have to add some of them to my to do list. lol. If i can find the time.
Thank you for the welcome...I haven't been on the site as much as I would like yet. Just got a new Handiquilter Avante and my husband has now finished putting it together. I have enjoyed looking over the site and it has mush to offer. I am anxious to really get into it.
I am originally from LI and my husband went to med school up in Buffalo. Every year, until he contracted Lymes, we'd take a motorcycle trip to Lake George for Americade. It was my favorite way to vacation. I loved traveling thru upstate NY on the motorcycle. He can't ride anymore, and AZ would be perfect for it. Gilbert is a bit of a drive from where we are now. I live in Scottsdale, according to the post office, but it's considered county land, according to the tax office. Kids go to school in Cave Creek, and the area is called Rio Verde Foothills, but we're not part of Rio Verde. So I guess you can say this little hamlet has an identity crisis!
Right now I am working on a quilt for my granddaughter, who is six. I found a pattern in one of my magazines, but it was sized only for a lap quilt. I liked the blocks though, and worked it out so it would fit a full size. She gave me clear instructions as to the colors I had to use, and the kind of patterns, (butterflies) the fabrics should have. Oh, and it has to have glitter and sparkle. I managed to find a fabric that came in three colors that did have sparkles on it, and was butterflies. Hopefully, she'll be happy with it. With four grandchildren, it seems I get something done for one, and another comes along, or I have to make something for all of them for a holiday. I hope your weekend was a creative one!
I got home late last night from our wonderful mother/daughter week end. We did a lot of scrapbooking and shopping. I was (still am) looking for fabric by Blank Quilting called the Beat Goes On in bright small notes and cliff. If you have any suggestings of sites or shops to check out I would love it.
I do not like that post you mentioned and had already decided to report it. A few years ago my sister got a weird post on here that freaked her out and she cancelled this site.
Thanks Carol for the welcome. I haven't had much time to check out the blogs, etc. but hope to soon. I'm doing a project for the quilt shop and found out today she wants it this week, like yesterday. My daughters and I are having a mother/daughter week end this Fri. - Monday in Bend, OR and I will be checking out some new shops. Hope to catch you in the chat room. Have a great week.
Thank you for the welcoming. I've been quilting for 8yrs now, but haven't had much time for it lately. Due to extra demands at home I decided to try the mystery quilt as a way unwind and have a little peace. I just hope it works.
Thanks for visiting my page! Where in Upstate Ny? We used to live in Wolcott, about halfway between Syracuse and Rochester, approx. 10 miles off the lake. We are now in western PA, in the Port Allegany area. Thank you for the warm welcome!
We live near Fort Bragg, NC. What part of Illinois did you live in? We moved here about 6 months ago from the Chicago burbs. I love the bear/rabbit quilt in your photos. I always make my baby quilts in really bright colors. I've just gotten back into quilting in the last 4 or 5 years. I don't really have any friends that quilt so I thought this might be a good way to meet some quilting friends.
I am in total agreement with you. Not enough $ (as always, LOL). I too miss having the quilting buddies. All my old friends are still in Illinois and I am in Texas now. I belong to a very large quilt guild (appx 357 members) that meets once a month but it is difficult to establish close relationships in a guild that size. However, they do have several "Bees" (smaller groups) that meet periodically that I can get involved in and get to know more people that way. However, most everyone lives at least 30 to 40 miles from me and the Bees don't meet anywhere close either. With the price of gasoline, I just can't afford to take off running around for social stuff very often. So, I can totally empathize with you. Wish there were more people closer and with the time and the love of fabric and quilting that I have to visit with and quilt with.
Thank you for the welcome Carol. I'm sure I will enjoy this site. I too am working part time now to help support my "habit". LOL Wish I had more $ to go to quilt shows around the country and one of those cruises would really be nice.
