One more question...Were your ties polyester, silk or both? I would think that polyester would be easy to work with, but not sure about silk. I am also thinking about fusing them to my block so they don't move on me while I quilt them.
Good morning Shelia! You said you did not line your ties. Did you have any trouble sewing them together, they didn't stretch? Did you sew them together or did you place them on the pillow and sew them down one by one?
Thank you very much Sheila, I will try that address as the only thing the same as the one I have is the city! Did she move during the year? I just don't understand it. Oh well it's not for you to worry about! Forgive my rambling please.
I am having a hard time waiting for Sat. to see the next block. End up making four of last block, two the wrong size. I guess I just made two pot holder for Christmas. I am making two sets. One in Red, White and Blue and and the other in yellow, purple and green. So far so good to be using scrapes and already cut pieces left from other projects.
Been stopping in the different sites for RWBS to see what everyone's up to. Love your bags and the bright colors in your quilts. Also wanted to say thank you for your kind comments on my DD's wedding quilt. It was definitely a labor of love. Had it finished with 2 weeks to spare. Look forward to getting better acquainted with you gals and participating in the swaps and things.
You made a jelly roll challenge too!!! it is great isn't it? I love mine,,I need to put borders on it yet. Also start with ONE project at a time, and finish it, you won't get so overwhelmed,,I get that way so easy...I have a room full of cloth,so it is hard to get rid of it all...LOLBlessings~ Joanna
How are you doing? I haven't seen you on the Florida forum page. What have you been working on.
I'm in Florida now, but my time here is NEVER long enough. I can't wait to be full time here.
I don't usually visit QWU on my laptop. My iPad is my best buddy, lol. Anyway, I think your page is very nice! I love those quilts you've completed. I'm envious that you have found time to do them. My UFOs are living in the closet. I also am admiring your sewing/craft room. What brand sewing table is that you have? I'm thinking of getting a Sew Ezi with multiple inserts for my sewing machine collection. I have a Viking Sapphire but I'm addicted to vintage sewing machines too and I kept my Viking Lily because I couldn't get much for it. Hence...a collection. Hope all is well and take a look at your PMs because I sent you an update on something we discussed. Hugs
Welcome Sheila. I'm so glad you are in our group. We are up to for four people in our group in Florida now. You are up North. I am in Fort Myers. I have to look at your pictures, but your sewing room looks great. Mine is so stuffed now that we moved everything to Florida. I live in both Florida and Massachusetts. We will be full time in Florida in a year. I can't wait.
Let us know a little about yourself on the group page...again welcome.
Thank you so much for the Valentine block, candy and card, that was so sweet of you. Your sewing room is amazing. I don't have a whole sewing room yet just the kitchen table, and no one is allowed to eat while I am working so it is kinda hard. Once I paint the basement and move furniture down there I will have some more space. Thanks again, I am so glad you are part of the swap! Do you know the name of the pattern of the Valentine's block you sent? It is so unique and I do not recognize it.
Hi Sheila, I haven't seen you around lately and I am hoping you are ok. I think it is your birthday in February so many happy birthday wishes to you! When you have a minute I'd love to hear from you. Your friend Susan G
