Dianne, hope you had a wonderful birthday. For some reason your name just came up under today's birthdays and if I would not have went back to check to make sure I had gotten everyone, I would not have wished you a happy birthday. You were not in the list when I went through the first time. Anyway hope you enjoyed your special day. Hugs to you.
Hope your birthday was all you wanted.Lots of quilting and time to do it. Love all your natire quilts. This is right up my alley. Haven't had time to do a profile yet will get to it with some pictures soon. But Hi from Northern Ontario. Weather here pretty good if we could get rid of the cool wind.

Hi Dianne: Glad to have you as a 'friend'. So how's the weather out in NFLD? It's snowing here today and has been since yesterday. *Perfect* weather for applique! Your quilts are wonderful, Dianne. What a lovely slide show . Thanks for sharing.
Dianne, I have not been here for a very long time so I am just getting to my comments. Thank you for complimenting me on my quilts. I started quilting in 2000 but since I don't work, I think I sew/quilt every day. I understand what you say about "what's next". I have a huge amount of ufo's and patterns and kits to get into. I just say I can't die until I have everything finished. lol
Hi Dianne. Thanks for the friend request. My husband and I are making a trip out East in Sept. it is our 25Th anniversary this year. SO we are very excited! Your cottage looks wonderful! Do you machine quilt your quilts? They are very inspiring. I don't get on to " quilt with us" very much and I need to. I find it so encouraging to get back to sewing even when life gets so busy with life!! :) Applique is something I have not tried, my mother in law loves it and quilts all her quilts on a frame, she lives in Sask. Did you find it hard or do you enjoy it a lot?
how has the summer been so far, we have a lot of rain and humidity is terrible. I like your photos, one day i hope to get a digital camera and capture some pics. My hubby retires at the end Dec. He worked in Nfld. years ago. We plan to visit in the future.
Hi Diane - Just checked out your quilts photo's. They are just great particularly the one of the wedding bells and ribbon. Great Idea about appliqueing the scene of your home and your dog will make a great photo.I was talking to DIL and son who are visiting with her parents in NL are you anywhere near Stephenville? They are near there. DIL says they have been having good weather for them this summer.
Hi Diane. Nice to connect with another Atlantic Canadian. Your quilts are wonderful. I particularly like the Spanish weaving piece - I have something similar received as a gift from my sister but I really like the pattern you used.
I hope the weather in Newfoundland is steadily improving as it is here, finally. Last couple of days have been nice and warm.
