Hi Diane...I've never been to NFLD but St.Johns was a favorite of my late DHs. I have 4 kids, the oldest is 43 and the youngest is 35...guess that makes me a "very, very" young mother, LOL. I started quilting about 25 years ago when the Principal at the school where i worked asked me to teach a quilting class in the Community Schools program...bought a quilting magazine and taught myself the basics in a couple of days...the rest is history. It's amazing what you can do when you don't know any better :-).
hope every one is fine its been awhile since i been on, hope every one is doing a lot of quilting. i done a bit perhaps after i have surgery on the 8 of june i will be able to do a bit, that will keep me in from my gardening. have fun quilting everyone
Hi Diane. Have a happy Mothers Day wth your family. I will be at work on Mothers Day as usual but I will see my boys in the morning anyway.
I have my Quilt Guild meeting tomorrow morning so I will return the quilt blocks that I sewed together for them. I added a picture of it in my pictures.
Glad to be your friend. I notice from your profile that you come from Newfoundland. I wondered what part? My daughter came from a place called St. George - near Stephenville , believe on the west coast.
We are so glad to have her part of our family.
Loved your quilts. I must get mine on a slide show but am not to savvy on the computer(self taught ) so I'll have to work on that one. I do have my quilts on my facebook so I must be able to get them on this site too. Have just come back from visiting my son and daughter in law and grandson in Hong Kong, so I'm finding it a bit cold. I wish it would warm up but they tell us on Sat. it will be 25c. Hope it stays. I'll be sure to watch your blog. Happy Quilting.
Hi Dianne, Good luck with the cottage quilt, that sounds like a big project! Happy Easter to you and your family, our daughter from Nanimo is coming home tonight, so we will get to spend a few days with her. Just finished a lone star quilt and now have a stack to tops to quilt from my winter labors. lol Hopefully I will be posting them soon for everyone to see.
I love the snow area. I think they are perfect for quilting and using your quilts. ;-) I would love to have some of the patterns that you have. All are very lovely. Sorry, wish that I could help you. I have a few patterns on my computer but nothing like this.
