Hi Diane, really love your wedding quilt but all your quilts are lovely and you have such an eclectic style...the variety is intriguing so do you like to experiment fabrics and ideas as much as it looks like you do? How far out in the country do you live? Far enough to have a star filled night sky? Hope your weather is better than here in Cold Lake...snowy with a windchill so a balmy -18C today. Quilty day perfect weather!
Good morning Dianne
Welcome friend. Your quilts are beautiful, I really liked your show. How is the weather in Nfld., Niagara Falls is 50 degrees but will start to get cold again tomorrow. A few years ago I spent 10 days on the island, we went from one side to the other. I loved it and am still talking about what a wonderful vacation!!! Whereabouts is your home.
I know one lady from Twillingsgate (sp?) her name is Joy ?. I met her at one of our quilt stores and she keeps in contact with one of my other quilting friends. Joy's mom lived here to she would come to visit her, but sadly her mom passed away.
Nice to meet you, talk to you later..........Doreen in Niagara Falls, Ontario
I live on the Bonavista Peninsula and have been retired from teaching since June. I have always sewn... made my own doll clothes when I was 6. But this year it is really keeping me sane. I miss the little kids, I miss the staffroom and I was never meant to be a house keeper!
Hi Dianne, Thanks for asking for me to be your 'friend' . I am from Peterborough, ON. Do you have any connections to people in my area?
Where are you in NL? My boss is from Fogo Island. NFLd.
It's great to see a Canadian Quilters site,,,and we are slowly getting all the provinces accounted for!
Hope to see more of your quilts online.
Hi Diane thanks for adding me to your friends list. My sister also got me into quilting. She had quilted for year and had also got my older sister interested in it. She asked me one day if I would be interested in learning to quilt. That was 5 years ago. Sine then i have made many quilts. My daughter also quilts. Currently I am working on the McKenna Ryan Sea Breeze for my grandchild.
Welcome to our online community! Thanks for your interest in ordering one of our catalogs. There are two ways to do this. First, you can go to connectingthreads.com and scroll down to the bottom of the main page. Under the heading "For our Customers" you will see the words "Request a Catalog." Simply click on this and follow the steps, and you should receive a catalog in no time. If this doesn't work, then I'd call our customer service line at 1-800-574-6454, and I'm sure they'd be happy to help you.
Thank you for adding me to your friends list. Your quilt is beautiful! I LOVE the colors. I'm working on a "kit quilt" right now that we picked up in Minnesota this past October (it takes me a while to "get to" my projects). Hoping to have it finished by the end of February. This site is wonderful, isn't it? So many wonderful people! Looking forward to corresponding! Keep on quilting!
It is sure nice to connect with fellow Canadians. Was back east last month, but only made it as far as Montreal. Hoping to make it out to the Maritimes in th next couple of summers. It is quite a place to see.
Thanks for inviting me to be a quilting buddy.
Thanks for inviting me to be your quilting friend. I have always wanted to visit Newfoundland, had thought I might get there last year when CQA was there, but it didn't happen. Some time soon I hope.
Dianne, Thanks for the friends invite. I am really enjoying this site. So many nice ladies to correspond with. We all have that common goal...quilt, quilt, quilt. I am working on a lap quilt for a lady today and hope to get it done within the next couple hours but just had to take a break. Glad she is in no hurry for it as the ice storm couple weeks ago sure put the brakes on quilting...no power for days. Today it's raining. I think spring is just around the corner howerver...we saw bluebirds this weekend, robins are back in droves and frogs are croaking down in the woods. With warmer weather comes a lot of yard work as we had so many trees damaged. Had tree trimmer yesterday as we're too old to do that climbing stuff. Back to work. Again, thanks for the invite. Look forward to corresponding.
