Hi Pat, I just had to share with you. I went to visit Abby this past weekend to see her winter dance recital. When I went into her room, guess what was on her bed - the Fancy Nancy pillowcase you made and sent to her way back when. It's still her favorite and gets put right back on as soon as it comes out of the washer and dryer. Thank you again for your sweet kindness to a little girl you'd never met. Your pillowcase was - and still is - a big hit. Thanks and hugs. Carol
One year for Christmas my older sister and I came to visit our younger siter in Wisconsin , and I meet Doyle was my sister's friend, and story short we got married 2 years later . That's why I am in Wisconsin .we have 2 boys Steve 30 in a couple of weeks and Nick 28 happily married we are a happy family with up and downs like any other family
I'm so late getting to things, it's shameful. Do you have Teresa Martinek's address? I went back through the posts, but couldn't find it. I'm so shocked over Froggie's loss that it's on my mind all the time. How awful for her!
Hello Pat, I love your quilts and also your plants, I have seen them in a garden centre here, but not sure of the name, difficult to grow here in UK I think....It looks as though it is also cool at times in your part of the country....we are getting ready for the cold winter promised
Hi Pat...I guess most everyone on the list is going to send Patricia H. a block regardless of whether she sends any more out or not. That really IS taking the high road and I suppose I can do the same. If you have some Civil War scraps that you want to bring with you to AQS, it would be very appreciative. All she says is "Civil War fabrics and cream" as her colorway. I have plenty of cream fabrics so whatever two other colors you choose is just find with me. What can I bring you to trade? Need a couple of fat quarters to swap for C.W. fat quarters?
Hi Pat, it is amazing how close you can feel to folks you've never "met" in person but have "met" this way. One of my blocks in your comfort quilt was the Ohio Star so as the tourism ads say, always remember "You have a friend in Ohio"!
Pat - Jill just called to tell me that Abby said she slept great last night because that Fancy Nancy pillowcase is the "comfiest" pillowcase she has ever had.....lots softer than any of the ones that go with her sheets. Besides it is Beauuuutiful and has puppies on it too!!!! Thanks again!! Carol
Hi Pat - well you certainly made a little girl's day. Your pillowcase arrived in Abby's mailbox today and she loves it. Both she and Jill were so excited and so surprised that they called right away and asked me to thank you!! They've promised to send me a picture and I can't wait to see it, but from Abby's description about "Fancy Nancy pictures and beauuuuutiful lace right on the pillowcase" it was certainly a big hit and I'm sure it is on her pillow tonight. I can't thank you enough for being so sweet and taking the time to make her pillowcase. God certainly sends us friends in many ways and I am so happy He allowed our paths to cross in this forum. Thank you again for your generosity and thoughtfulness. Carol
Thank-you, Pat, for your warm welcome. I hope we get to meet someday, living so close and all. I'm planning on attending the next EIHQ meeting w/my friend Beth next month. I guess they meet at the VFW Hall in Marion. Are you a member?
I thank your daughter for her service to our country, sorry to hear she is disabled. I'm really looking forward to this new adventure and to getting to know my fellow IQ!
