Hi Jan, yes small world !
I am from Costa Rica, my family lives in San Joaquin ,Heredia and we have a small quilt store there, I am living next week to show my book in Costa Rica and visit my family too .
I do have it! It's under my utility stitches. I had to play with the width and length settings a little to get it big enough but I really like how it looks. Thank you, thank you.....I'm going to try it. I can't live long enough to learn all these gadgets on this machine!
Hey Jan, I love your new pics, especially the notebook cover and swing purse. I have wanted to make a swing purse for a while. Maybe I should make one in Halloween fabric! I bet your DH Loves his new shop. And have you finished his pink gingham curtains? I hope they have lots of lace.
Sounds fun! Thanks for the datails of your quilt show. I too am just making small quilts right now since I don't have a long arm. Plus, it is nice to finsh them sooner. :) I have 4 young children so some days I just stare longingly at my sewing table. ha ha I enjoy buying fabric and puting them together to make something someone will enjoy. Thanks for sharing pics. of projects that you've done.
I saw a couple of your posts and realize I don't live too far from you. We live in Prairie Grove. I just started quilting a couple of years ago and I LOVE it! I will try to attend your upcoming quilt show. :)
I lived in AR during WWII as I got Scarlet Fever and then Rheumatic Fever and there was no cure back then, except bedrest and sun. I was bedfast from 6 - 8, then kept from playing anything strenous. They were sure I'd not ever have a child and maybe not even live. Hmph! I have 3 kids and am 74 now, expecting to live a long life. Then we moved back to NE where we were all born but when I married Matt we came to Bella Vista as often as we could. Unfortunately one spring the mold count was so high that I had to take him home quickly, and he survived congestive heart failure, but that trip had been intended for looking for a place to move and a job. Oh well. I lived in NE from birth until 18 years ago, except for those 2 years when dad was overseas. I love them both, and since Matt had come from upstate NY he loved the trees in MD. I had a glorious 13 years with Matt, and love to reminisce about our days together in AR & NE.
I read your profile above. If you travel that much and find yourself northwest of Houston come see me. I also have two rat terriers, plus five other big dogs. One of the rats lives with my son off at college and my little male is old and pitiful, losing his hair and only one eye.
Hi Jan, thanks for the note about running into Marcie. Yes, she is a great gal. One of my best friends. I've tried to be there for her with all she is going through with her DH right now. What a terrible ordeal!
Good to hear from you. Your pictures of your home and your projects are great. You're a very talented lady.
Jan, thanks for the angels, they are sew gorgeous! I had lunch with Myra and my family on Saturday, and I forgot to bring it to her. I will soon. Did you make the angels on your embroidery machine? Very cool.
Jan, I love your Jelly Roll quilt. I just introduced that method to a friend of mine and we are getting together to race each other sometime in Oct. and make our own. I'll let you know when I post it. Looks like fun and a quick way to get a top done.
Jan, I tried to leave a message for you on Fast and Furious but it won't let me. Congratulations on your great success with WW online. My SIL used it and lost 60 lb. and he still goes back to it if he notices the scale creeping up. It sounds like it is working great for you too. You are an inspiration! Oh and happy belated birthday too!
Oh Jan I missed your birthday - Happy birthday and I do hope the celebrations are still happening. You really should celebrate every day for the number of days in your age. If I am 60, that is 60 days of partying - hmm. Love your quilt - those leaves are really terrific - hard to do?
